NFL Office Pool Picks Week 2 - ATS Predictions for Every Game!

There is no denying it; the winner of your season-long office pool will not reach the summit due to luck, but rather an in-depth knowledge of the entire NFL. With 272 regular season games to pick against the spread, it will not come down to one lucky bounce or bad beat. Doc’s Sports will be providing free against the spread picks for every game, all season long, with the hopes of helping you claim football’s ultimate prize. Over the last two seasons we have gone 273-266-7, and I have no plans to slow down now. We got off to a rough start in Week 1 with a 7-9 against the spread record, but we still have 17 more weeks to get back on top. Without further ado, here are your Week 2 NFL picks against the spread.
Doc’s Sports offers NFL expert picks for every game on our NFL predictions page.
Detroit Lions (+4.5) Over Buffalo Bills
The Lions needed overtime to beat the Saints in Week 1, but that shouldn’t take away from three quarters of excellent defense. Detroit managed to bend and not break, as did the Bills in their Week 1 victory over Houston. However, Buffalo’s defense had big questions heading into the season, and after allowing C.J. Stroud to look like prime Tom Brady on Sunday, they might get picked apart again. This has all the makings of a shootout, and I absolutely want the points in a game the Lions could win outright. Lions 35, Bills 32
Atlanta Falcons (+1.5) Over Carolina Panthers
I try not to overthink spots like this as it is almost always a good idea to take home underdogs in divisional matchups. Once you add in that the Falcons have a clear advantage on the defensive side of the ball, and it could’ve been a very different matchup against the Steelers had Nick Folk not missed two kicks, I like them to defend their home turf. Bryce Young showed he is a man on a mission this season, but I expect the Falcons to bite down defensively and make this one ugly. Whether Tua Tagovailoa is healthy or the Falcons have to send out Cooper Rush, this is their game to lose at home. Cooper Rush is 9-9 as a starter in his career, and he can get back to a winning record with a crucial victory. Falcons 20, Panthers 17
Baltimore Ravens (-8.5) Over New Orleans Saints
This is a thick line for Baltimore, but they will stamp their authority on this game early. The Ravens made it look easy against the Colts in Week 1, while the Saints continued to shoot themselves in the foot. I really like the defensive additions Baltimore made in the offseason, while the Saints let a few key names go, and focused on offense. As long as Zay Flowers is good to go, which reports are indicating he will be, the Ravens will put up a second straight double-digit win to kick off 2026. Ravens 28, Saints 17
New York Jets (+3.5) Over Green Bay Packers
One of my most aggressive preseason predictions was for the New York Jets to make the playoffs, and this is the perfect spot to put my money where my mouth is. The Jets defense looked great on the road in Week 1, carrying them to victory, and I am far from convinced the Packers are a playoff team themselves. Green Bay completely collapsed against their division rivals last week, and have a severe disadvantage on defense. The Jets will force a couple of turnovers, play conservatively on offense, and pick up this cover if they can’t pull off the outright upset. Jets 23, Packers 13
Chicago Bears (-5.5) Over Minnesota Vikings
We can expect some offensive regression from the Bears against a team like the Vikings, but I still foresee a win and cover in this matchup. The most impressive part of Chicago’s 59 points was that Caleb Williams spread the ball around nicely, and got everyone on offense involved. That bodes well coming up against a Brian Flores defense, as the Bears will need to take what is given rather than force anything down the middle. On the other side of the ball, I refuse to believe Carson Wentz is going to look good two weeks in a row, and will probably make at least one bone-headed decision that costs his team the game. Bears 31, Vikings 21
Cincinnati Bengals (+3) Over Houston Texans
The matchup everyone will be looking forward to is how the automatic Bengals offense looks against an unforgiving Texans defense, but this game will be decided on the other side of the ball. Houston’s offense looked good against the Bills, but Buffalo had the worst run defense in the league last year, and I don’t expect another David Montgomery masterclass. Meanwhile, the Bengals defense has been steadily improving, and a healthy squad should never be a field-goal underdog. Take the points at a crucial number in a game where I might take the Bengals straight up. Bengals 24, Texans 21
New England Patriots (-4.5) Over Pittsburgh Steelers
Drake Maye and the Patriots will bounce back in a big way in Week 2. New England has an extra four days of rest after losing to the reigning champions in Week 1, and a hungry defense will put their imprint on this game. The Steelers barely escaped with a win against a battered Falcons side, and that kind of effort will not yield the same result against New England. Not only do I think the Patriots win and cover, but I am calling for them to hold Pittsburgh out of the end zone. Patriots 20, Steelers 3
Cleveland Browns (+8.5) Over Tampa Bay Buccaneers
This is as ugly as it gets. The Browns got smashed last week by the Jaguars, but Deshaun Watson actually looked competent after his opening-drive interception. It is not as if the Buccaneers had a great game either, meaning we have no choice but to scoop up the points with the Browns. I expect Cleveland to clamp down defensively, and it really looks like the Buccaneers are one more bad game away from completely imploding. Maybe the Bucs find a way to win, but it will be far from dominant. Buccaneers 17, Browns 15
Tennessee Titans (+7) Over Philadelphia Eagles
Maybe if this one was in Philadelphia, we could justify this spread, but there is no universe where the Eagles should be touchdown favorites on the road against anyone in the NFL (OK, maybe the Dolphins). They looked unconvincing against the Commanders in Week 1, and even though they won, they did not cover. It is not as if the Titans looked great either in their defeat to the Jets, but their problems are much easier to fix. The Eagles offense looks completely lifeless and that is not the needed ingredient for a big win on the road. The Eagles probably find a way to grind out a narrow victory, but the Titans will get the cover. Eagles 20, Titans 17
Jacksonville Jaguars (+2.5) Over Denver Broncos
The Jaguars and Broncos were on opposite sides of blowouts in Week 1, and I am a bit surprised to see this line. Sure, the Chiefs and Browns are very different levels of competition, but I still liked what I saw from Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars offense. They were able to slice apart the Browns without many issues, and will have another productive day on offense against the Broncos. Once you add in a one-day rest advantage and a little insurance on the spread, taking the Jaguars is one of the more confident picks to make this week. Jaguars 27, Broncos 20
Los Angeles Chargers (-7) Over Las Vegas Raiders
Both of these teams had winnable matchups in Week 1, but only one made it look easy. The Chargers completely fell on their face against the Cardinals, losing as the biggest Week 1 favorite. There is no excuse for losing to Arizona, but a 5-0 turnover margin certainly had a big role to play. Now they have a chance at redemption in Week 2, and I expect them to get back on track. Their upcoming schedule is very difficult, and this is all but a must-win game if they want to keep their season alive. The Raiders will have their moments, but Kirk Cousins will get chewed up and spit out. Chargers 25, Raiders 10
Seattle Seahawks (-4.5) Over Arizona Cardinals
The Seahawks are likely without Sam Darnold at quarterback, but that doesn’t mean this is a loss. Their defense already proved that they are one of the best units in the league, and this is a great time to sell high on the Cardinals after their Week 1 upset. Seattle should be favored by at least a touchdown given the skill mismatch in this matchup, and there is no reason to try and get cute with the points. I know I am fading my ‘divisional home underdogs’ rule, but we sometimes have to make an exception. Seahawks 24, Cardinals 13
San Francisco 49ers (-13.5) Over Miami Dolphins
Fading the Dolphins is never a bad idea, even when the spread approaches two touchdowns. San Francisco will have used their rest advantage to acclimatize back to North America, and I expect them to be refreshed for this matchup. Meanwhile, the Dolphins made the Raiders look like Super Bowl contenders last week, which is an impressive feat. The 49ers are better at almost every position, and unless we get some garbage time touchdowns from the Dolphins, the 49ers will win by 20+ points. 49ers 31, Dolphins 7
Washington Commanders (+3.5) Over Dallas Cowboys
Both of these sides lost to division rivals to kick off the season, adding even more importance to this historic clash. The Washington Commanders will be a real sleeper in the NFC if their defense plays like they did last week, as they made the Eagles look lost for long stretches. Meanwhile, there weren’t many positives to take away from the Cowboys’ defeat on national television, and it will be back to the drawing board again heading into Week 3. This will be close, and it could go either way, which means we have to take the free points with Washington at a crucial number. Commanders 25, Cowboys 24
Kansas City Chiefs (-6.5) Over Indianapolis Colts
I expected this spread to tick over a touchdown, and we will happily lay the points at just -6.5. Patrick Mahomes looks as though he is back to his old self, and a terrifying Chiefs defense makes this team an instant contender. Across the field, the Colts looked thoroughly beaten by the Ravens last week, and things aren’t getting any easier in Week 2. A healthy Mahomes with a strong defense is hard to step in front of, especially at home. Chiefs 31, Colts 17
New York Giants (+7.5) Over Los Angeles Rams
The Giants pulled off a big upset in Week 1, while the Rams fell flat on their face. Los Angeles’ travel plans have been heavily criticized, which is why they are being given the benefit of the doubt in Week 2. However, the Giants looked like a truly competent team for the first time in a decade in John Harbaugh’s debut, and I expect another close matchup on Monday night. The Rams get into the win column, but the Giants hang around. Rams 27, Giants 24
2026 Record: 7-9
