NFL Office Pool Picks Week 3 - ATS Predictions for Every Game!
It won’t be one fortunate bounce or bad beat that determines your fate in a season long, against the spread office pool. With 272 regular season games to comb over, whoever emerges on top will have done so through commitment, perseverance, and just maybe a little bit of luck. All season long, Doc’s Sports will be providing picks for every game with the hope of helping you come out on top. We went 7-9 against the spread last week for the second consecutive week, but we still have a long season to go. One highlight was getting the correct score for the Patriots, 20-3 over the Steelers, our first of the season. Without further ado, here are your Week 3 NFL picks against the spread.

Atlanta Falcons (+5.5) Over Green Bay Packers
Both of these teams have looked terrible to start the new season, making this the ugliest primetime showdown yet. On the bright side, Atlanta is getting Michael Penix Jr. back from injury and he is expected to make his season debut against Green Bay. The Falcons defense has looked reasonably solid so far, and if they can get some offensive support, they just might pull off this outright upset against a reeling Packers side. Falcons 20, Packers 17
Cleveland Browns (+2.5) Over Carolina Panthers
Both of these teams are 1-1 after picking up Week 2 victories, and we will side with the home underdogs in Week 3. Deshaun Watson has played solid football, and this Browns defense cannot be overlooked. Losing Myles Garrett was certainly a blow this offseason, but Cleveland is still an above-average defensive unit. I am not quite ready to buy in on Bryce Young in the road favorite role, so we will scoop up the points in a close one. Panthers 17, Browns 16
Cincinnati Bengals (-3.5) Over Pittsburgh Steelers
This one is sounding off alarm bells with the Steelers being home underdogs by a crucial number in a divisional matchup, but we have to trust our reads like we did last week in the Seahawks over Cardinals matchup. The Bengals have looked like their usual selves on offense, but now that their defense is finally stepping up, they are a real force in the AFC. Meanwhile, Aaron Rodgers looks slow and uninterested, and the Steelers defense is good but not great. Pittsburgh will hang around in the early stages, but another double digit win for the Bengals is on the cards. Bengals 27, Steelers 13
Indianapolis Colts (+2.5) Over Houston Texans
Houston is a very interesting team to try and get a read on. Their defense could finish as the best unit in the league, but their offensive struggles will cap their ceiling. C.J. Stroud is inconsistent, and even with a strong supporting cast, hasn’t been able to put points on the board. Meanwhile, the Colts went toe-to-toe with the Chiefs on Sunday night, and should not be home underdogs in this matchup. We aren’t getting much insurance on the spread, but I have this one at a pick ‘em, so we will take all the points we can get. Colts 21, Texans 20
Kansas City Chiefs (-10.5) Over Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins have gotten steamrolled in both appearances this season, and why would we expect anything else this week? This is a very thick line for a road team, but it would be fair to say that at least 16 of the best 20 players on the field are suiting up for Kansas City. The Chiefs look like they are back to their usual selves, and a strong running back in Kenneth Walker will let them hold onto the lead. Not only are the Dolphins losing, but they are falling behind early, which is exactly what we want to see with a big spread. Chiefs 33, Dolphins 11
Los Angeles Chargers (+7.5) Over Buffalo Bills
The Chargers season might already be over, but we have no choice but to buy the dip with a spread like this. Justin Herbert finally has a competent offensive line, but constant turnovers and a lack of defensive support saw the Chargers drop their first two games against the Raiders and Cardinals. If they want to turn their season around, it starts in Buffalo. The Bills have looked dominant on offense, there is no denying that, but some shaky defensive plays could see them cough up a backdoor cover. Bills 30, Chargers 24
New England Patriots (+3) Over Jacksonville Jaguars
We are getting a nice line on the Pats, and we will take the points on the road. New England doesn’t have the same hype behind them like they did last year, but Drake Maye has bounced back nicely and is looking comfortable in the pocket. The Jaguars don’t have any real difference makers on the defensive line, so when Maye stays upright, he will accurately pick his passes. A flat showing last week from the Jags offense has me concerned about laying any points against a Super Bowl contender. Patriots 24, Jaguars 20
Detroit Lions (-6.5) Over New York Jets
I went back and forth on this matchup as I am high on both of these teams, with the extra rest giving the Lions the nod. Detroit’s defense got sliced apart by the Bills last week, but they had an extra few days off to recover and get ready for this matchup. New York blew a lead against the Packers and mismanaged the clock late in the game, and I can’t quite trust them to stick around. Detroit’s offense has been automatic at home over the last several seasons, which will allow them to run away early. Lions 31, Jets 21
Washington Commanders (+7) Over Seattle Seahawks
The Commanders had the worst game imaginable last week with Jayden Daniels going down during a loss to the Dallas Cowboys. They now welcome the Super Bowl champions to town, making this look like an easy choice. However, the Commanders defense looked solid considering the morale on the sidelines, and a full week with Marcus Mariota as QB1 will have this offense looking competent. Seattle’s defense will be a tough nut to crack, but a full touchdown at home this early in the season is hard to turn down. Seahawks 26, Commanders 20
Tennessee Titans (+2.5) Over New York Giants
The Giants got the news that Jaxson Dart might be out for the season, leaving Jameis Winston at the helm. Winston has had an entertaining NFL career, but looked truly terrible in relief on Monday night. The Titans have extra rest, they are emerging from their rebuild, and will look like the better team on both sides of the ball. Look for Winston to throw more interceptions than touchdowns as the Titans pull off the minor upset. Titans 24, Giants 16
San Francisco 49ers (-8.5) Over Arizona Cardinals
The 49ers have looked dominant this year, and this stacked offense will outclass the Cardinals. Arizona got a feel-good Week 1 victory, but this team is still near the bottom, if not at the bottom of the league in terms of talent. The 49ers are better at nearly every position on the field, and they aren’t afraid to run up the score either. There are arguments to be made that this spread should be double digits, maybe even two touchdowns, making this price look like a discount. 49ers 35, Cardinals 13
Minnesota Vikings (-1.5) Over Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Can the Buccaneers look any worse? It is a ‘make-or-break’ year for Baker Mayfield as this team is one more loss away from spiraling out of control. Their offense has the talent to win, but they just aren’t gelling, and a date with a Brian Flores-led Vikings defense is not how to get back on track. Minnesota is getting Kyler Murray back from injury to lead the offense, giving them the edge on both sides of the ball. They won ugly against the Bears last week, and will do so again in Tampa Bay. Vikings 13, Buccaneers 3
Baltimore Ravens (-3.5) Over Dallas Cowboys
These two historic franchises face off in Brazil, and sloppy field conditions could turn this one ugly. On offense, I give the Ravens an edge based on a superior run game. Prescott and Jackson can both make big plays, but the difference in Derrick Henry and everyone else is where Baltimore gets ahead. If the grass is as bad as rumors suggest, Henry’s impact may be even more noticeable this week. Ravens 21, Cowboys 15
New Orleans Saints (-3) Over Las Vegas Raiders
These two have both gotten off to strong starts, but only one will keep their momentum heading into Week 4. Tyler Shough looks to be the real deal at quarterback, while the Saints defense has looked great through the last 6 quarters. The return of Brock Bowers for the Raiders is the story keeping this line close, but the reality is that the Raiders beat up on a couple 0-2 teams, and are getting too much respect here. It won’t be a blowout, but the Saints win and cover with ease. Saints 29, Raiders 20
Los Angeles Rams (-2.5) Over Denver Broncos
The injuries to Jaxson Dart and Malik Nabers took over the headlines in the Rams Monday night win, but they looked truly dominant all over the field. This defense is still elite without Myles Garrett, this offense was elite without Puka Nacua, and this is a very soft line against Denver. The Broncos have reasons of their own to get excited, but they looked flat in primetime in Week 1, and will once again be starstruck by the soaring Rams. Rams 28, Broncos 17
Philadelphia Eagles (-4.5) Over Chicago Bears
Caleb Williams went down with a hamstring injury last week, and is questionable to play in this matchup. It would be foolish for the Bears to rush Williams back this early in the season, and I expect the Chicago offense to have to get creative with Tyson Bagent or Case Keenum under center. Philadelphia hasn’t looked great to start the year, but they have found ways to win games, and will do so again on Monday night. Eagles 24, Bears 13
