NFL Confidence Pool Picks Week 7

The hardest part of the NFL Week 7 card right now is deciding which teams are still trying to fix what is broken and which have already accepted the version of themselves on the field. Some clubs keep rotating personnel, changing the snap count, and forcing the same concepts until the timing improves. Others have stopped experimenting and are simply running the plays that worked in September, even when the defense has already adjusted. That difference shows up in how long a drive takes to stall. It also shows up in which quarterbacks are still being asked to throw into tight windows and which ones are being told to check it down and live another week.
Last week's card closed at 7–7 for 60 points. The top two anchors cashed. The next several mid-tier plays went the other way and erased the cushion before the lower half of the board could recover.

GAMES
14 points – San Francisco 49ers over Atlanta Falcons:
San Francisco has controlled the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball and keeps generating negative passing plays without needing extra rushers. Atlanta's run game has been more effective when the edge is soft, but the 49ers have consistently set the edge and forced runs back inside.
13 points – Denver Broncos over Arizona Cardinals:
Denver has generated pressure without blitzing and forced more passing turnovers. Arizona has struggled to protect against four-man rushes, leading to more negative plays and drive-killing situations.
12 points – Los Angeles Rams over Las Vegas Raiders:
The Rams have been more consistent at generating pressure with a four-man front while limiting yards after the catch. Las Vegas has surrendered more second-half points when opponents remain balanced, and the Rams have shown they can keep games under control without letting the script tilt late.
11 points – Dallas Cowboys over Philadelphia Eagles:
Dallas has relied on explosive plays that have translated more consistently when defenses fail to secure the edge fully. Philadelphia creates pressure with four rushers, but the Cowboys have protected well enough in recent weeks to offset that advantage and sustain drives.
10 points – Pittsburgh Steelers over New Orleans Saints:
Pittsburgh has been stronger against the run on early downs and has forced more punts by putting opponents behind schedule. New Orleans has struggled to finish drives when the deep passing game is taken away.
9 points – Green Bay Packers over Detroit Lions:
Green Bay has been more reliable converting key red-zone opportunities and protecting the quarterback in obvious passing situations. Detroit's explosive offense has been less effective when opposing fronts win on early downs.
8 points – Chicago Bears over New England Patriots:
Chicago has been more efficient on first down and has limited opposing rushing attacks to modest gains. New England has done a good job preventing explosive plays, but the Bears have shown they can stay ahead of the chains even when the deep ball is unavailable.
7 points – Houston Texans over New York Giants:
Houston has created negative plays without heavy blitzing and has generated more quick defensive stops. The Giants have struggled to prevent explosive plays when they fail to control early downs.
6 points – Baltimore Ravens over Cincinnati Bengals:
Baltimore has been more efficient off play-action and has generated more yards after the catch when the quarterback has room to step up in the pocket. Cincinnati has depended heavily on explosive plays, which have become less reliable when opponents control early downs.
5 points – Minnesota Vikings over Indianapolis Colts:
Minnesota has been the more consistent team at winning the early-down battle and capitalizing on manageable third-down situations. Indianapolis has generated yards after contact, but those gains have not consistently translated into sustained drives against the Vikings' defense.
4 points – Kansas City Chiefs over Seattle Seahawks:
Kansas City has finished drives at a higher rate and has been more efficient in the red zone. Seattle has improved as a second-half scoring team, but the Chiefs have shown they can remain balanced while still producing explosive plays without relying on game flow.
3 points – Cleveland Browns over Tennessee Titans:
Cleveland has limited explosive pass plays and forced more quick stops defensively. Tennessee's running game has not generated enough positive plays to avoid difficult third-down situations, where the Titans have struggled to convert.
2 points – New York Jets over Miami Dolphins:
New York has done a better job neutralizing play-action and forcing shorter, contested throws. Miami has struggled to sustain drives against defensive fronts that keep the quarterback from stepping up comfortably in the pocket.
1 point – Carolina Panthers over Tampa Bay Buccaneers:
Carolina is at its best when staying ahead of the chains, and Tampa Bay has not run the ball effectively enough to unlock its play-action game against disciplined fronts that win on early downs.
Bye Teams
Buffalo Bills, Jacksonville Jaguars, Los Angeles Chargers, Washington Commanders.
