Take Philadelphia over Washington (7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 5)
The Wizards will no doubt be laying a big number here. We think the Sixers will be able to keep this one close. Washington has been overvalued all season at home, and this is a team that plays down to its level of competition big time. This is not a team to lay a big number with. They are 0-3 ATS on the season when laying seven or more points and 2-7 ATS when laying more than four points. They are just 3-6 ATS at home against losing teams. They have been particularly bad ATS of late, covering only two of their last eight games entering Wednesday's matchup with Golden State. That game against the Warriors will be a big one for the Wizards, as it is for every team when Golden State comes to town, so that makes this a letdown spot, and Washington is not mentally tough enough to come in here and blow the Sixers out after a big game like that. Philly has been a very strong bet lately. They recently came off a stretch of five straight covers and have covered in seven of nine overall. They should be pretty well rested here as this will be only their second game since Jan. 30. We think this will be a strong underdog bet against an overrated Washington squad.

Things look rough these days for this Chicago team as they lost Joakim Noah to a season-ending injury a few weeks ago. They face a Nuggets squad here that's playing very well of late since the return of their top rookie draft pick guard Emmanuel Mudiay. After missing over 3 weeks of action to an injury, Mudiay has returned and led the Nuggets to a 10-2 record against the point spread record overall. Take Fresno State (-1) over UNLV (4 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 30)
Yet another free play winner in this space as Florida State took out Clemson last week. Let's go for three in a row here with a play from the Mountain West. I have been on a tear lately and have banked over $4,400 in profit over the past few weeks. I think that we will get a low spread to attack here. Fresno State won the first matchup on the road, and I don't see any reason why it won't be more of the same here. UNLV is just 1-4 ATS in its last five road games and was shaky enough that they lost at Nevada lately. Fresno State is 3-1 in its last four games and over the past month their only two losses have come on the road against Boise State and San Diego State (in OT). UNLV's only road wins this season have come at Utah State and at UC-Riverside, and I don't see them getting past a very experienced Bulldogs team here. I think the Rebels are overrated and Fresno is underrated, and I think that our side finds a way to get a sweep in this series. I'm not really familiar with Damian Grabowski, but I told myself when Derrick Lewis fights next I'm all over him. Pesta was able to stun Lewis a couple times in that fight but Lewis showed tons of heart and finished Pesta in the 3rd round. As long a Lewis doesn't get hit sharply in this fight I see him taking down Grabowski and Lewis continues to rise in the rankings in the heavyweight division. That is good because right now the heavyweight division needs some change and excitement. We see both teams being able to move the ball between the 20s pretty easily on Sunday, but once they enter the red zone look for both defenses to clamp down a bit and force a bunch of field goal attempts.
