NFL Confidence Pool Picks Week 12
The most noteworthy performance of week 11 included the following:
Yes, the Indianapolis Colts have saved their season. After starting 0-3, the Colts have bounced back, winning six of their last eight. The most important win coming last week vs AFC powerhouse, the Buffalo Bills. The Colts dominated in all facets Sunday in Buffalo. Jonathan Taylor ran at will vs the number one defense in the NFL, and the Colts defense was forcing Josh Allen into very poor decisions. The Minnesota Vikings also proved they deserve respect throughout the NFL. The Vikings have held leads in every single game this year by at least seven points, and beating the Green Bay Packers Sunday gives the public a lot of confidence with a Kirk Cousins moving into week 12.
After the Tennessee Titans hot stretch, they laid an egg versus one of the worst teams in the NFL, the Houston Texans. The Titans have managed to lose to both the Jets and Texans this season, which really is indescribable. Lastly, the Kansas City Chiefs seem to be back on track, winning a gritty, low-scoring battle against the Dallas Cowboys at Arrowhead Stadium. I feel a lot more confident about the Chiefs after their week 11 performance; look for them to go on a roll heading into the playoffs.

Key matchups of week are as followed:
Seattle Seahawks @ Washington Football Team
Spread +1 (Seahawks)
Pick Popularity 43%
Win Percentage 49%
In a complete tossup game, you have to believe Russell Wilson finally breaks out. The Seahawks have scored just 13 points since the return of Wilson. With the number of weapons the Seahawks have on offense, it is totally unacceptable. In a tossup matchup, I am taking the Seahawks.
New York Jets @ Houston Texans
Spread +2.5 (Jets)
Pick Popularity 22%
Win percentage 41%
The battle of two 2-8 teams doesn’t seem very interesting, but the public is very high on the Houston Texans after last week’s victory, giving the Jets a lot of value in this matchup. The Jets will get rookie quarterback Zach Wilson back in the lineup. And if they are able to protect the ball and avoid turnovers, there is no reason that the Jets cannot come out with the victory.
Chicago Bears @ Detroit Lions
Spread +3 (Lions)
Pick Popularity 36%
Win percentage 37%
I believe this game will be head coach of the Chicago Bears Matt Nagy’s final game. The storyline and rumors have been surrounding Nagy all week. Losing five in a row heading into this Turkey Day classic, the perfect storm has formed for the Detroit Lions, and they will get their first win Thursday afternoon in Detroit.
Minnesota Vikings @ San Francisco 49ers
Spread +3 (Vikings)
Pick Popularity 40%
Win Percentage 39%
This is one of the most exciting matchups of the week. Both teams have seemed to catch their stride in the past two weeks, producing massive victories. Both teams are also fringe playoff contenders in the NFC. Arguably two of the hotter teams in the NFL, they will clash in San Francisco, where the 49ers are 1-4. Kirk Cousins has thrown for 21 touchdowns and only 2 interceptions yet remains to fly completely under the radar in 2021 as one of the top quarterbacks in the league. Cousins also has the best passer rating for completions over 10 yards in the league. With the confidence of Cousins and the Vikings heading into week 12, I believe there is a lot of value in taking the Vikings over the 49ers.
Cleveland Browns @ Baltimore Ravens
Spread +3.5 (Browns)
Pick Popularity 10%
Win Percentage 35%
I believe the Baltimore Ravens are being way overvalued in this matchup. Both teams have not looked great the past two weeks. And in a divisional matchup, anything can happen. The Ravens are being picked with the third most confidence in week 12. It would be wise to confidently rank them lower in your pool. And if you’re feeling risky, pick the Browns as an upset. The Browns came into the season as a divisional favorite, and this win could send a statement to the rest of the league. Each week a team with a 15% pick popularity or less has won, the Browns are my pick for this week.
