Alan Harris has been one of the hottest football handicappers in the country and this week he'll look to keep his hot run going with his 8-Unit NFL Playoff Game of the Year on Sunday. Esparza has six straight winning years and tallied +$12,000 last year alone. Esparza is 8 for 13 with his NBA plays rated 5.0 or higher and will have a 6-Unit NBA Play Friday night. Take 'Under' Pittsburgh vs. Louisville (7 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 11)
Two teams that have been trending to the under will meet when the Pittsburgh Panthers hit the road to take on the Louisville Cardinals at the KFC Yum Center in Louisville, KY on Wednesday night. Pitt has posted a 5-1 record to the under in their last six games where they faced a team with a winning record and they have gone a lights out 12-2 to the under in their last 14 road games. Louisville has been an under team as well in the spot they are in here on Wednesday as they have the same 5-1 record to the under as Pitt when facing a team with a losing record and they are 7-3-1 to the under in their last 11 games following an ATS win. They have also stayed under the total in four of their last five ACC games and they have gone an excellent 13-3-1 to the under in their last seventeen games following a victory. Free NBA Basketball Prediction From Doc's Sports :
Take 'Over' Indiana vs. Denver (3 p.m., Thursday Jan. 12)
The NBA heads to London for this regular-season matchup. The Nuggets are one of the best OVER teams in the NBA at 26-10-1. They are among the worst defensive teams in the league at No. 27 for points allowed as they give up an average of 111.2 per night. This team likes to run on offense, however, and they have a roster that can score as they put up 108 PPG on offense. The Pacers are also ranked low defensively and they are in the Bottom 10 and allow 106+ PPG. They are, however, in the top half of the league in most major offensive categories. And this team also trends to the over with a 23-15 mark to the over so far this season. The players here are being taken out of their normal routine and taking extra long travel. Yes, they won't be slumming it on their flight like most people do, but a trans-Atlantic flight is tough on your body no matter if in first class or economy, and we just don't see a lot of defensive effort happening here. Take Utah (-2) over USC (9 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 12)
USC was finally able to break into the Top 25, but I think that their stay is going to be short and sweet. This is a talented, albeit young, team and I don't think that they are ready to handle success. I also think that USC's 15-2 record was built against a pretty easy schedule stacked with home games. I think the Trojans are going to get ambushed in Salt Lake City and the Utes are a team on an upswing. They buried Colorado at home and I think they will do the same here. Utah got two guys eligible at the midseason break, David Collette and Sedrick Barefield, and they have been a completely different team since then. The Utes now have six different guys averaging double-figures in scoring and I think that they have more than enough firepower for a shootout with USC. The main difference is that I think Utah is going to defend much better than the Trojans. Five of USC's top seven players are freshmen or sophomores whereas Utah's main weapons are juniors and their lone senior. Take 'Over' 5.5 Toronto at Ottawa (7 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 14)
The Toronto Maple Leafs are back. Well, not all the way back to where they were in their glory days. But the Leafs finally have a competitive team on the ice and they're also the youngest team in the NHL. Offensively this team is gifted and that's pushed them to the top 5 in goals per game in the league. Defensively, they are still trying to figure things out (19 th in goals allowed per game). That comes with youth, and we'll certainly see improvement defensively as the season goes along. However, right now the only way to play Toronto games is OVER the total while they continue to make mistakes in their own zone. On Saturday they go up against the Ottawa Senators. The Sens usually like to play at a little slower pace and grind, but I don't think they're going to have a choice against the Leafs. They'll be forced to capitalize on Toronto's mistakes and that will lead to an easy goal or two for them at some point. One thing to point out is Toronto's propensity to jump out to early leads, only to cough it up later on (usually in the third period). The Leafs are actually third in the NHL in minutes with the lead this season, but they're tops in the league in giving up the lead when they have it. What a game to lead off the NFL Playoffs with the pupil facing the mentor as the Falcons Head Coach tees up against Pete Carroll and company. The difference here is that this game will be in Atlanta and any shady calls will likely go the Falcons way. The Falcons have won 11 games, the division and beat their nemesis of Carolina and New Orleans handily - and beat Tampa Bay once too to go 5-1 in the Division. Atlanta remembers the 24-26 loss, has revenge and Seattle will be riding far too high coming into this game coming off a 20-point win over the Lions. I have been on a major NFL run and had a huge weekend, earning +$2,420 in profit including a 4-0, +$2,200 on Sunday. The Patriots are 25-10 ATS in their last 35 home games and they are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games overall. New England has been great in the Divisional Round of the playoffs, going 4-1 ATS the last five years. This team is one of the best in football. Houston is 2-6 ATS in their last eight road games and I don't think that they have a chance to take down the Patriots in Foxboro. Free NFL Football Prediction From Jason Sharpe :
Take 'Under' 52.5 Green Bay at Dallas (4:30 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 15)
These are two of the slower-paced teams in the NFL. The Green Bay Packers likely won't be as strong offensively here in this one as it looks like they will be without their top WR Jordy Nelson in this game and his loss is huge. There's a slight inflation right now on Green Bay Packers totals also considering that they've went 'over' in each of their past 5 games, BUT keep in mind that their last two contests EACH would have went 'under' had they BOTH hadn't had a Hail Mary touchdown in the game. The Packers offense has been getting all the credit for the current 7-game winning streak but the defense has also had a lot to do with the current as they've allowed 10 points per game less in those last 7 games compared to what they had allowed before it. For as much hype as the Dallas offense got this season, they ended up being were of more of an 'under' team than an 'over' this year, including going below the total in 9 of their last 13 games.
