WE had a great week to start the college football season, posting nearly +$1,500 in profit and sweeping all three of our top plays, including a 7-Unit blowout with Syracuse on Friday. I am thrilled about this week's card and it will be jam-packed with picks, as I have been breaking down these college and NFL matchups for, literally, weeks. OK, so as for this free play, this isn't a game that's going to move the needle and isn't on a lot of people's radar. However, I really like the value here with this home underdog. Miami actually beat the Titans here last year, 16-10. And right now I sense a little desperation out of this Dolphins team. The coach and quarterback are both on their last chance. There are a lot of guys on this team that are at a crossroads and the front office is going to clean house if there is another losing season. The Titans are in the opposite situation. They are coming off a playoff berth (and playoff win). But they have a new coach, Mike Vrabel, and they are doing some new things both offensively and defensively. Vrabel has done nothing to make me think he has any idea what he's doing. This team did not look good in the preseason at all - losing all four games by double-digits - and this is a Titans team that went 1-6 ATS in their last seven regular season road games last year. The Titans are also just 15-39 ATS in their last 54 conference games and the Dolphins have covered the spread in four straight Week 1 games. The public is all over Tennessee in this game, taking nearly 70 percent of the action. But I don't think the Titans have shown me anything to think that they deserve to be a road favorite right out of the gate. I think Miami is going to win and win convincingly. When these two teams do battle on the football field, the OVER is usually the best bet on the board and Friday night I see this trend cashing. Free College Football Prediction From Jason Sharpe :

Take #310 Michigan (-27.5) over Western Michigan (Noon, Saturday, Sept. 8)

It's a good time to 'buy' on the Michigan Wolverines, as everyone seems to be down on them after their week one defeat. Most have to realize though the Wolverines played arguably the toughest opening week game for a higher ranked team this year as they had to go on the road, at night and play another highly ranked squad in Notre Dame. Michigan didn't play as poorly as it's being made out to be either as they missed out on some 50/50 balls defensively and left a ton of points on the field as they scored just 3 points on 3 different possessions when inside the Irish 25-yard line. Despite all of their troubles they still had the football at mid-field with a chance to tie at the very end of game. Western Michigan lost their opener last week to Syracuse, but the game wasn't as close as the final score shows as the Syracuse offense did whatever it wanted to do. In fact, the Orange pulled their electric starting quarterback in the middle of the game and then brought him back later on when things tightened up and once again WMU had no answer as he sliced and diced up the Broncos defense. Look for Michigan to take out some frustrations here on WMU here in the Big House. Play Michigan minus the points. Take #323 Mississippi State (-9) over Kansas State (Noon, Saturday, Sept. 8)

I expect a big win for the Aggies over Kansas State, who lost about 75% of their offense last year, including a stud QB, and it showed in a Week 1 nail biter against South Dakota of all people where K State needed the entire game to win in Manhattan. Bill Snyder likes to schedule cupcakes in the nonconference slate and then about the 3rd or 4th game play a big boy and upset them, but this SEC team for the second game of the season is too much for the Wildcats to handle in my opinion. This line opened at 7.5 and was quickly bet up to 9 and will be higher by Kick off. Miss. St is loaded with all kinds of talent, including QB Fitzgerald whom they get back this week and he should tear up K States defense with his abilities. K State used 2 QB's against South Dakota and they managed 13 completions, and while they may have been looking ahead in that game a little, K State does not have the offense to trade punches from behind against a SEC Team. Take 'Over' 64.0 UCLA vs. Oklahoma (1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 8)

Two teams that have been trending to the over will meet when the UCLA Bruins hit the road to take on the Oklahoma Sooners at Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman, OK on Saturday afternoon. The Bruins have posted a 5-1 record to the over in their last six road games and they have gone an excellent 7-3-1 to the over in their last eleven games following a game where they scored 20 points or less. The Sooners have been an over team as well in the spot they are in here on Saturday as they have gone a perfect 4-0 to the over following a game where they allowed 20 points or less and they are 4-1 to the over in their last five nonconference games going back to the beginning of the 2017 season. They have also gone over the number in four of their last five games following a straight up win by 20 points or more and they are an impressive 9-4 to the over at home versus a team with a losing record. Throw in the fact that they are also 4-0 to the over in their last four games versus a team from the Pac-12 while UCLA is 11-5 to the over in their last sixteen when facing a team from the Big 12 and that's where we'll have our play as we expect both teams, especially Oklahoma, to put points on the board in Norman on Saturday afternoon. This is just too many points to be laying in the conference game. Many believe that this will decide the SEC East, and Georgia has more talent but not enough disparity to be giving this many points on the road. Carolina surprised a lot of people last season and should only get better under Coach Muschamp in the years to come. The Gamecock defense held the Bulldogs to just 24 points in their meeting last year in Athens, and if they do that again today they will easily cover this number. Free College Football Prediction From Indian Cowboy :

Take #378 Colorado State (+13) over Arkansas (7 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 8)

You are Colorado State and you have started the Season 0-2 and now you face an SEC team. It is now or never for this team, who has faced some adversity given their coaching situation as they have missed their coach for the first couple of weeks. Also, note that 80% of the public is riding Arkansas here, which is never a good thing in any sport nevertheless in College Football. Colorado just lost by 9 to Hawaii as a 17-point underdog and lost by 32 to Colorado their rival. As they come off a loss to their rival, once again, on a night time game, looking to avoid going 0-3, with 80% of the public on a favorite, this team facing a SEC team and wanting to prove a point and to salvage their season, we like Colorado State to bounce-back here and to hang tough against Arkansas. Arkansas is 0-5-2 in their last 7 nonconference games and Colorado State is 7-1 ATS following a double-digit loss at home.

Take #355 UL-Monroe (+5) over Southern Miss (7 p.m. ET, Saturday, Sept. 8)

We are backing UL-Monroe plus the points on Saturday. We are all about finding value against our power ratings, and this one has value written all over it despite the line coming down a tad. We have UL-M and So Miss power rated "even" on a neutral field, and while Hattiesburg has been a tough place for visitors in the past, home field advantage certainly doesn't take the rating above three in 2018. Five of the 11 Golden Eagles' losses during the Jay Hopson coaching-era have come at home. So Miss has just five returning starters on offense and starting QB Kwadra Griggs is out indefinitely due to suspension. They're lacking at the skill positions heading into this season. Defensively, So Miss loses seven of their 11 top tacklers from a season ago and the secondary looks shaky on paper at best. UL-M returns eight starters from an offense that piled-up the points and the yardage a season ago. They will be able to attack and move the ball on the So Miss defense. UL-Monroe's biggest concern is its defense, but we don't feel So Miss will be able to put distance between the teams thanks for the Warhawks' scoring ability. With the game in Hattiesburg, we still have this game power rated at Southern Miss -3, which gives us plenty of cushion against the current number. (I normally begin making bets when my power numbers are at least 2 points off the spread). We'll back UL-Monroe plus the points on Saturday night. Take #370 Indiana (-7) over Virginia (7:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 8)

I am off to a 5-0, +$2,400 football start and I plan on continuing that run this week! I will have a 7-Unit College Football Play Saturday and then I am coming back with my first NFL plays of the season. I have posted 19 of 23 winning NFL seasons and I am looking forward to another great year. Last week I had an easy free play winner. BYU upset Arizona outright as an 11-point underdog. I think Indiana will be another easy win here. This line has already jumped up from 5.0 to 7.0. The sharp action is on the Hoosiers. Indiana went on the road and blasted Virginia last year in Charlottesville as a four-point favorite. They are at home now and only laying a field goal more. Indiana posted a strong 10-point win over a good Florida International team last week on the road. Virginia beat an FCS cupcake at home. Indiana has a good young quarterback in Peyton Ramsey and they have a solid running game. Virginia has a new starter at quarterback and they are replacing a lot along their offensive line. Indiana is the better team and will put up a lot of points. I don't think Virginia will be able to keep up in a shootout, and Indiana will pull away late. Lay the points. Minnesota is just too good, and they will prove it this Sunday by beating the 49ers by double-digits. The Vikings are absolutely better on both sides of the ball. This Vikings defense is going to cause turnovers, which will result in easy points and put the 49ers away early. Look for the Minnesota to control the clock with a successful rushing attack and then for Kirk Cousins and his dynamic WR core to put up a few big plays to get the home crowd excited. The Indians are not sweating the fourteen game lead they have in the Central, but they are trying to bolster their chances to get to a World Series. They acquired all star third baseman Josh Donaldson last week in a move that should give them some more pop and a better chance to not fizzle out early like they have been in recent years.
