It should come as no surprise to you that Confidence Pools have grown in popularity over the last number of years. The concept of just picking a team to win straight up is much more appealing to the average bettor who is still understanding how the point spread part of the equation works . There have been many instances where we wished we had taken a team straight up instead of on the spread, only to have them not cover by half a point. It's frustrating, but with a Confidence Pool, you won't ever have to worry about that. For the entire season, I'll be breaking down the game list and ranking each game from most confident to least confident.

Week 2 Confidence List (Most Confidence to Least Confidence)
New England @ Miami - This game is pretty straight forward. The Patriots are the best team in football, and Miami can't even put together a roster worth writing about. The spread is upwards of 19 points for a reason. And with a confidence pool, we just need the Patriots to win by one point. They get the win and improve to 2-0 while the Dolphins get relegated to the CFL.
Dallas @ Washington - The Cowboys' offense looked unstoppable in Week 1 and should continue that momentum against a Redskins' squad that gave up 32 to Philadelphia. This game is as straight forward as you can get. Take the Cowboys.
Kansas City @ Oakland - The Chiefs offense picked up where they left off last season by posting 40 on Jacksonville. Oakland kicked off their season with a win over Denver. The spread tells us KC should run away with this game. However, after what the Raiders have been through this postseason, something tells me this team is going to be pesky all season long. KC wins, but it's super close.
Indianapolis @ Tennessee - The Titans aren't as good as they looked in Week 1 against the Browns, and the Colts are unlucky to not to come away with a win against the Chargers. However, traveling back across the country for another road game is tough for an NFL team to do, let alone a team starting Jacoby Brissett. The Titans roll to 2-0 here behind another solid defensive performance.
Tampa Bay @ Carolina - The Panthers were unlucky not to beat the Rams in Week 1, while the Bucs looked like a mess. We trust Cam Newton more than we do Jameis Winston. And with Christian McCaffrey touching the ball 25+ times, we'll take the Panthers to get in the win column in Week 2.
Arizona @ Baltimore - Everything broke perfectly for the Ravens in Week 1 as they put up 59 points. Arizona overcame a slow start to earn a tie against Detroit. The spread is 13.5. And while we believe Baltimore wins this game outright, it'll be closer than people think.
Jacksonville @ Houston - Houston is coming off an emotional game on Monday vs the Saints and now gets a Jacksonville squad that got embarrassed in Week 1. Jacksonville's defense needs to step up. And against a brutal O-Line, they should be able to get pressure on Watson. Houston will win, but it'll be closer than they had hoped for.
New Orleans @ LA Rams - Rematch of the NFC Championship game where the Saints got screwed out of a spot in the Super Bowl. Rams offense looked good in Week 1, as did the Saints. The defense should be the difference, and the Rams have the better unit. Take LA
Buffalo @ New York Giants - The Bills erased a 16-0 deficit to beat the Jets, while the Giants got blasted by the Cowboys. The Bills defense should be able to contain the one-dimensional Giants attack (Saquon), but do we trust Allen on the road again? I'll say yes, and the Bills improve to 2-0 on the season.
Seattle @ Pittsburgh - Seattle looked lost in Week 1 despite winning, and Pittsburgh was flat out embarrassed. We don't trust Seattle on the road in an early 1 p.m. start time, so we'll take Pittsburgh to bounce back in a big way.
LA Chargers @ Detroit - The Chargers were lucky to escape with a win vs. Indy, and the Lions brain-farted their way to a tie vs Arizona. We don't trust the Chargers on the road, but Matt Patricia might be the worst coach in NFL. Expect points, but we have no idea who wins this game outright.
Minnesota @ Green Bay - Green Bay looked pathetic in their Week 1 win over Chicago, while Minnesota played a perfect game in their win vs Atlanta. Minnesota now travels to Lambeau Field with a defensive unit that can be the best in the league. Lean Minnesota here as an underdog winner, but with little confidence.
Cleveland @ New York Jets - Both teams played terrible in Week 1, and your guess is as good as mine as to which team gets the win here. Baker Mayfield's throwing hand is injured, but the Browns still have the more talented roster. If Cleveland can't win a home opener, what makes you think they can win on the road? Let's roll with the Jets.
Philadelphia @ Atlanta - One team looked great offensively, while the other looked pathetic. The Eagles have a loaded roster. However, on the road in a noisy dome, we'll take our chances with Atlanta bouncing back in this one. No confidence, since Dan Quinn couldn't coach himself out of a wet paper bag.
Chicago @ Denver - Both teams underperformed in Week 1, so your guess is as good as mine as to which team bounces back. Chicago should have the advantage on both sides of the ball, but Trubisky vs. Flacco is a QB matchup I never want to bet. Chicago wins this game, but it'll be another snooze fest.
San Francisco @ Cincinnati - Both of these teams played above their paygrade last week, so I'm not sure how to decipher the results. San Francisco's defense should be the difference in this game, but trusting them in their second straight road game is a big ask.
