NFL Confidence Pool Picks Week 10
The NFL has given us plenty of surprises through nine weeks of the season. We’re now heading into the 10th week with plenty of heavy favorites that could end up losing on Sunday. It’s been a very wacky last couple of weeks with upsets, so be careful who you pick or you could be in trouble.
Every week I give you my favorite to least favorite games according to my confidence in the pick. Remember, all picks will be picked without using the spread. I look forward to giving you the best chance to win your NFL Confidence pool each week and throughout the entirety of the 2020-21 season.
As the years have gone on, Confidence Pools have become very popular. If you’re unfamiliar with confidence pools, here's a rundown of the concept. Each week you will pick every game and the team you believe will win that game straight up. It’s always good to sprinkle in some underdogs that are adding points to their score! Let’s defeat your entire pool!
Week 10 Confidence List (Most Confidence to Least Confidence)
Jaguars vs Packers: Jake Luton against Aaron Rodgers. Does it get any more comical than that? Luton had his moments against the Texans last week, but he also had his mistakes and drives that stalled. This is no contest. Take the Packers.
49ers vs Saints: The Saints have so much momentum coming into this game, and the 49ers don’t. It’s simple. The 49ers are banged up, injured and basically done for the year. The Saints are fighting for a conference championship and a Super Bowl. Take the Saints.
Washington vs Lions: Washington has a problem at quarterback, and the Lions don’t. It’s as simple as that. I’d be surprised if Washington scores multiple times in this game. And we’re talking about the Lions defense. Take the Lions.
Buccaneers vs Panthers: The Buccaneers were embarrassed on Sunday night against the Saints. Do you think that’s going to happen again? The Bucs are off the spotlight and can now focus on what needs to be done. With Christian McCaffrey sidelined again, I like the Bucs to recover and win. Take the Buccaneers.
Colts vs Titans: The Colts offense was quiet against the Titans, but that won’t be the case in this one. The secondary of the Titans has underperformed and allowed 19 touchdowns already this season in the air. Philip Rivers will enjoy a win early this week. Take the Colts.
Texans vs Browns: Just when you think the Texans will perform to the level that we’ve expected all season, it just hasn’t happened. The defense is not exciting, and the Browns will run all over Houston in this one. I’m tired of waiting for the Texans to show up. It’s just not going to happen this year. Take the Browns.
Ravens vs Patriots: The Patriots are in tank mode, or so it seems. The Pats almost lost to the Jets and needed a game-winning field goal to win. They’re over this season. And with the Dolphins looking very good and the Bills leading the division, the Patriots are checked out. Good luck stopping the Ravens run. Take the Ravens.
Vikings vs Bears: The Vikings offense is starting to come around, while the Bears offense seems very limited. The Bears defense can only do so much, and it’ll be hard to get enough stops to win this game against the Vikings. The Vikings defense has been terrible, but the Bears offense doesn’t scare me. Take the Vikings.
Bengals vs Steelers: I’ve enjoyed Joe Burrow and was pleasantly surprised after the Bengals beat the Titans. However, it’s going to be harder against the Steelers, who bring so much pressure. The Bengals offensive line likely won’t be able to handle the pressure. It’ll be a close game, but the Steelers will prevail, like they’ve done all season. Take the Steelers.
Eagles vs Giants: Every week, I think the Giants can pull off wins. Instead, they lose in the last second. Maybe that’s changing after their win against the Football Team, where the Giants got two interceptions to close the game out. The Giants are a talented group. They just need to close games out. Take the Giants.
Broncos vs Raiders: I’m not sold on the Broncos offense. They’ve got pieces and guys stepping up, but things sometimes just don’t click until it’s too late. The Raiders have more talent on both sides of the ball and will use that to their advantage. Take the Raiders.
Bills vs Cardinals: The Bills offense feasted against a terrible Seahawks secondary. The Cardinals are much better defensively but didn’t really show it against the Dolphins last week. I’ve been impressed with the Cardinals all season long too. I’d rather take the over in this game, but if I had to choose, I think the Bills come out on top. Take the Bills.
Seahawks vs Rams: The Rams have been inconsistent on offense this season. But if they have the right game plan, they’ll feast just like the Bills and all other teams have against the Seahawks defense. Plus, the Rams defense can perform well enough to get the win. I’d take the Rams at home. Take the Rams.
Chargers vs Dolphins: I’m so excited for this game, but it’s so hard to pick a winner. We’ve got two of the top three rookie quarterbacks going against each other. Justin Herbert has been an animal this season, throwing for over 300 yards passing a game and getting three or more touchdowns per game most weeks. All I know is that Tua hasn’t lost yet. I’ll ride with him. Take the Dolphins.
