NFL Confidence Pool Picks Week 11
This NFL season is moving by quickly. We’ve made it through 10 weeks of the season and have less than half a season to go. However, through the season, we’ve seen multiple injuries to premier quarterbacks. Last week, Drew Brees had a rib injury that will keep him out of Sunday’s game and potentially more. Can the Saints rally behind Jameis Winston?
Every week I give you my favorite to least favorite games according to my confidence in the pick. Remember, all picks will be picked without using the spread. I look forward to giving you the best chance to win your NFL Confidence pool each week and throughout the entirety of the 2020-21 season.
As the years have gone on, Confidence Pools have become very popular. If you’re unfamiliar with confidence pools, here's a rundown of the concept. Each week you will pick every game and the team you believe will win that game straight up. It’s always good to sprinkle in some underdogs that are adding points to their score! Let’s defeat your entire pool!
Week 11 Confidence List (Most Confidence to Least Confidence)
Steelers vs Jaguars: Jake Luton will face the Pittsburgh Steelers defense. This can get ugly quickly, and the Steelers offense should take advantage of a poor Jaguars defense. The Steelers are undefeated, and it won’t take a one-win Jaguars team to beat them. Take the Steelers.
Titans vs Ravens: The Ravens lost in a Tornado-like game. So be it. They’re much better and probably would’ve won if the center could snap the ball better. That game is over, but now many are sleeping on the Ravens and thinking they’re no good. That’ll change on Sunday. Take the Ravens.
Dolphins vs Broncos: I’m ready for a big Drew Lock turnover when the game is tight and late. This Dolphins defense has been aggressive and really good this season. The Broncos will struggle late, and the Dolphins will go to 4-0 with Tua Tagovailoa at quarterback. Take the Dolphins.
Jets vs Chargers: Justin Herbert is struggling to get wins, although he’s performing at a very high level. This will be the game where he gets a chance to actually win. The Jets haven’t won a game this season. And while they were close under Joe Flacco, I don’t think the Chargers will allow this game to be anywhere close. Take the Chargers.
Eagles vs Browns: The Browns running game will be a huge factor moving forward. The Eagles aren’t the best run defense and now have to go up against Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt. That’s too tall of a task for this Eagles team. Plus, the offense has been so inconsistent. Take the Browns.
Falcons vs Saints: The Saints won’t have Drew Brees, but it also won’t be a problem. Jameis Winston has been a starting quarterback for his entire career and now gets his opportunity with the Saints. He’ll need to make better decisions, and that will be to get Alvin Kamara involved in the offense every which way. Take the Saints.
Bengals vs Washington: The Bengals were absolutely torched last week by the undefeated Steelers. It was a bad game for the Bengals. Meanwhile, the Football Team came back but lost to the Lions with Alex Smith having a career day in his first start in quite some time. I’d rely on the Bengals to score more points in this game. Take the Bengals.
Cowboys vs Vikings: The Vikings are as hot as ever right now, while the Cowboys welcome Andy Dalton back to action. If he’s anything like he was earlier in the season, the Vikings will ride their momentum with Dalvin Cook right into next week. Take the Vikings.
Cardinals vs Seahawks: You can expect a Thursday night shootout between these two teams. Any offense with playmakers like the Cardinals can absolutely tear apart the Seahawks secondary. The Seahawks have struggled a bit recently, but you can expect Russell Wilson to be prepared, throw less turnovers and come out on top. Take the Seahawks.
Lions vs Panthers: The Panthers offense has so many weapons, even without Christian McCaffrey. And while it might be hard to stop DeAndre Swift, the Panthers will rally and find a way to win this game. The Lions defense still has a long way to go before they’re a contender. Take the Panthers.
Chiefs vs Raiders: The Chiefs were stunned by the Raiders earlier this season and took their only loss of the season to the Raiders. Despite that loss, the Chiefs are still seven-point favorites, which seems absurd. This game will be closer than many think, but the Chiefs will likely still come out on top. Take the Chiefs.
Patriots vs Texans: Two weeks ago, I didn’t believe in the Patriots. Now I’m thinking they’ll be back to .500 after this game against the Texans. The Patriots run defense has been awful, but the secondary behind JC Jackson has been more than good. Take the Patriots.
Packers vs Colts: The Colts have so much young talent and utilize everyone on offense. Meanwhile, with Darius Leonard on the field, the Colts defense has been one of the best in the league. I’m not sure they’ll be good enough to stop Aaron Rodgers for the entire game, but it’ll be enough to help the Colts squeak by and win the game. Take the Colts.
Rams vs Buccaneers: This game could be very low scoring with two defenses that have performed very consistently for most of 2020. The Rams have been a bit more consistent than the Buccaneers on defense and should have enough offense to get the win over the Buccaneers. Take the Rams.
