NFL Confidence Pool Picks Week 2
We’re going into Week 2 of the NFL season. Every week I will provide you with my favorite to least favorite games according to how confident I am in the outcome straight up. Remember, all picks will be picked without using the spread. I look forward to giving you the best chance to win your NFL Confidence pool each week and throughout the entirety of the 2020-21 season.
As the years have gone on, Confidence Pools have become very popular. If you’re unfamiliar with confidence pools, here's a rundown of the concept. Each week you will pick every game and the team you believe will win that game straight up. It’s always good to sprinkle in some underdogs that are adding points to their score! Let’s defeat your entire pool!
Week 1 Confidence List (Most Confidence to Least Confidence)
Lions @ Packers: The Packers have my confidence. Aaron Rodgers was stellar in Week 1, and the defense won’t have much to worry about with the Lions offense. Take the Packers.
Chiefs @ Chargers: The Chargers barely had much offense against the Bengals. Good luck against an improved Chiefs defense and an offense that is looking stellar. The Chargers can’t keep up. Take the Chiefs.
Jets @ 49ers: The Jets have lost Le’Veon Bell for a portion of the season and looked awful on defense trying to stop the Bills. This is the 49ers we’re talking about. The defense will improve like it did last season. Take the 49ers.
Jaguars @ Titans: The Jaguars had the upset of the week with their win over the Colts. In come-from-behind fashion, they stunned the Colts, who were favored by more than a touchdown. The Titans couldn’t finish drives in Denver but shouldn’t have a problem at home. They’ll fix things up. Take the Titans.
Broncos @ Steelers: The Steelers defense looked incredible against the Giants. They had plenty of tackles behind the line, stopped the run game and pressured the QB all night. Lock will see the same thing. Take the Steelers.
Falcons @ Cowboys: Two of the most overhyped teams in the NFL taking center stage. The oddsmakers like the Cowboys for a reason. They’re more talented. Watch the Cowboys take the early lead and hold on late. Take the Cowboys.
Bills @ Dolphins: The Bills took it to the Jets in their opening game. Allen will need to protect the football better as the Patriots turned the ball over a couple times in the Red Zone vs the Dolphins. If he takes care of business, the Bills win easily. Take the Bills.
Ravens @ Texans: The Texans defense was swiss cheese against the Chiefs offense. Playing the Ravens won’t help that defense any bit. The Ravens dropped the Browns quickly on offense and defense. They’ll do the same against the Texans. Take the Ravens.
Vikings @ Colts: The Vikings and Colts had some poor showings in their opening games. Both were favorites and lost. I like the Colts defense to get pressure on Minshew and escape with the win. Take the Colts.
Rams @ Eagles: Many are hating on Wentz. He deserves it. But that offensive line for the Eagles is beat-up. And until their starters are back, there’s no way I trust that banged up Eagles offense. Take the Rams.
Panthers @ Buccaneers: The Bucs offense will take some time to develop, but there’s so much talent on the roster. Meanwhile, the Panthers defense wasn’t good against the Raiders, allowing 34 points. Tampa Bay might score just that. Take the Buccaneers.
Football Team @ Cardinals: Here’s a match-up between two surprising teams who started off their season 1-0. The Cardinals were everyone’s underdog, but the Football Team wasn’t. The Football Team had 8 sacks against the Eagles. But Murray can escape with his feet. Take the Cardinals.
Saints @ Raiders: The Raiders offense looks great. However, that defense allowed 30 points to the Panthers. The Saints will have a huge loss in Michael Thomas being out, but Brees will get others involved. Take the Saints.
Bengals @ Browns: The Browns were dominated by the Ravens from the get-go of Week 1, while Bengals rookie QB Joe Burrow showed poise and confidence towards the end of the game against the Chargers. End the hype. Take the Bengals.
Giants @ Bears: The Bears blew a big lead while ahead, and the Giants couldn’t figure out anything when it came to their run game. This will be a sloppy football game, but I’m not sure the Giants have enough on defense. Take the Bears.
Patriots @ Seahawks: The Patriots made a couple costly mistakes against the Dolphins that made the game a bit closer. However, on defense, they took a massive stand. It’ll be hard to get Wilson to make many mistakes in this game. The Seahawks defense will need to get better, though. Take the Seahawks.
