NFL Confidence Pool Picks Week 5
We’re going into Week 5 of the NFL season. Every week, I will provide you with my favorite to least favorite games according to how confident I am in the outcome straight up. Remember, all picks will be picked without using the spread. I look forward to giving you the best chance to win your NFL Confidence Pool each week and throughout the entirety of the 2020-21 season.
As the years have gone on, Confidence Pools have become very popular. If you’re unfamiliar with confidence pools, here's a rundown of the concept. Each week you will pick every game and the team you believe will win that game straight up. It’s always good to sprinkle in some underdogs that are adding points to their score! Let’s defeat your entire pool!
Week 5 Confidence List (Most Confidence to Least Confidence)
Cardinals vs Jets: The Jets have to start Joe Flacco, who has been on the sidelines for a couple years now. The Cardinals will bounce back in this spot. Take the Cardinals.
Colts vs Browns: The hype with the Browns is growing. The run game looks impressive, but now Nick Chubb is out for a little bit of time. Since the first week loss to the Jaguars, the Colts have looked like a true contender. Take the Colts.
Rams vs Football Team: So many different quarterback changes this week due to injuries and benchings. Kyle Allen might do some good things with Washington, but it won’t be enough to hang with the Rams offense. Plus that Rams defense is underrated. Take the Rams.
Eagles vs Steelers: The Steelers are another big-time defense that stifles the run and force you to pass. Watching Carson Wentz pass has been ugly this season. Take the Steelers.
Buccaneers vs Bears: Who would you be more confident in? Tom Brady or Nick Foles? Trick question! If you know, you know. But in all seriousness, the Buccaneers are the much better football team. Take the Buccaneers.
Raiders vs Chiefs: The Chiefs won’t lose this game. Unless Patrick Mahomes can’t play. Take the Chiefs.
Giants vs Cowboys: The Cowboys offense is amazing. Their defense is not so amazing but they’ll do enough against the Giants to help the Cowboys win by at least two scores. Take the Cowboys.
Panthers vs Falcons: Dan Quinn’s job is almost up with the Falcons. The Panthers, on the other hand, are just getting started in their new era with two straight wins even without Christian McCaffrey Take the Panthers.
Jaguars vs Texans: The Texans have underperformed all season long. That defense has looked miserable. It’s been swiss cheese along with plenty of missed tackles. The Jaguars offense has DJ Chark back. They’ll work some offense in this game. Take the Jaguars.
Dolphins vs 49ers: Week by week, the 49ers are getting more healthy. That’s bad news for their competition. George Kittle is a star and continues to showcase his ability in whatever role he needs to play. He’s a game changer. Take the 49ers.
Vikings vs Seahawks: The Vikings offense is starting to click, and the Seahawks defense has been dreadful. Both offenses will be in a shootout. The Vikings have a legitimate chance to pull off the upset. Take the Vikings.
Chargers vs Saints: Justin Herbert gets to face another future hall of famer. He did well against the Buccaneers, but somehow the Chargers found a way to lose late. Same might happen with the Saints if New Orleans gets some pieces back off the injured list. Take the Saints.
Bengals vs Ravens: The Ravens are taking on a 1-2-1 Bengals team. You can’t count at Joe Burrow but you can absolutely count out the Bengals defense against the Ravens offense. Take the Ravens.
Bills vs Titans: The Titans haven’t been able to practice as a team. They’ve been winning games by the last second every week. If this game is played, the Titans will not be able to hang with the Bills offense that could shatter records by the end of the year. Take the Bills.
Broncos vs Patriots: If Cam Newton faces Drew Lock, this game would be more appealing. It doesn’t look like Newton will start after having dinner with Stephon Gilmore. Meanwhile, Lock might be able to give it a go. If this game even plays, we won’t be seeing much scoring but the line might be heavily favoring Patriots which should be the case. Take the Patriots.
