NFL Confidence Pool Picks Week 15

The 2025-26 NFL season is rapidly coming to a close. All bye weeks have been played, and every team has 13 games on its resume. It's been quite a surprising season, with New England and Denver topping not only the AFC but the entire NFL with impressive 11-2 marks. In the NFC, the quickly-fading Eagles are the only division leader with more than one game separation. The NFC West is fascinating, with the Rams and Seahawks tied at 10-3 and the 49ers one game behind at 9-4.
Perhaps as surprising, the Kansas City Chiefs' reign over the AFC has come to an end. With a record of 6-7, their streak of winning the AFC West will end at 9 seasons, the 2nd-best run in NFL history.
However, the biggest shocker happened this week with the rapidly unraveling Indianapolis Colts. Indy lost its candidate for "Comeback Player of the Year" when Daniel Jones went down with a leg injury. With QB Anthony Richardson already on the IR, the Colts went antique shopping and found a vintage 44-year-old Phillip Rivers for sale. Rivers, who took his last snap during the COVID-19 season of 2020, could see action if rookie QB Riley Leonard continues to take the hits he did last week in Miami.

16 – Philadelphia vs. Las Vegas: I realize it's kind of scary to take the Eagles for a big point play, but if there is a team worse off than them at the moment, it's the Raiders. Philly has to win at home, against the worst team in the AFC, right? Pick: Philadelphia
15 – San Francisco vs. Tennessee: San Francisco gets the same advantage Philly did, as the Titans have the same record as the Raiders. Tennessee is epically bad, and while the Niners have weaknesses, they won't matter against the 31st-ranked offense (15.5 ppg)
14 – Tampa Bay vs. Atlanta (TNF): Tampa Bay has taken six of the last eight from Atlanta, including both meetings last season by double digits. The Buccaneers rank fourth in rushing defense at 92 yards allowed per game, while Atlanta has managed only 79 rushing yards per game during its current four-game losing streak. Winner: Tampa Bay
13 – Houston vs. Arizona: Houston is 4-2 in their home games and ranks sixth in total defense at 312 yards allowed per game and leads the NFL, allowing 16.0 ppg. Arizona is 3-10 and has surrendered at least 27 points in eight of its last nine contests while ranking 31st in third-down defense at 46.2 percent. Winner: Houston
12 – Seattle vs. Indy: The Seahawks bring the league's fourth-ranked sack attack with 41 takedowns and must be licking their chops, while Indianapolis has allowed 22 sacks this season, even before dusting off the 44-year-old relic Philip Rivers this week, who's now older than half the dads yelling at the TV, yet somehow expected to teach their offensive line new tricks. Winner: Seattle
11 – Jacksonville vs. NY Jets: Jacksonville is tied 9-9 all-time with the Jets but holds a 4-1 edge in the last five home matchups. The Jaguars rank 15th in rushing offense at 117.5 yards per game, targeting a Jets defense that allows 114.5 rushing yards per game, 10th in the league, but vulnerable on the road. Winner: Jacksonville
10 – LA Rams vs. Detroit: The Rams are 5-1 in home games and rank second in scoring defense at 17.0 points allowed per game. Detroit has lost two of its last three road games and averaged 13 ppg in the two losses. Winner: LA Rams
09 – Chicago vs. Cleveland: Chicago leads the NFL in turnover margin at plus-16 and has forced 28 takeaways, including multiple in eight of 13 games. Cleveland has committed 23 giveaways, tied for the most, and ranks near the bottom with a minus-10 differential. Winner: Chicago
08 – NY Giants vs. Washington: The Giants, at 2-11, snapped a nine-game home losing streak last week with their first home win since December 2024. Washington is 3-10 and has lost six of its last seven games when allowing 27 or more points. Winner: NY Giants
07 – Denver vs. Green Bay: Denver leads the league with 45 sacks and has a pressure rate of 12.3 percent, ranking in the top three. Green Bay has allowed 40 sacks, fourth-most in the NFL, and has surrendered multiple sacks in 11 of 13 games. Winner: Denver
06 – Dallas vs. Minnesota (SNF): Dallas leads the league in passing offense at 275.5 yards per game and has thrown for over 300 yards in five of its last seven home games. Minnesota ranks 22nd in passing defense at 232.5 yards allowed and has given up 250-plus passing yards in four road losses. Winner: Dallas
05 – Miami @ Pittsburgh (MNF): Miami averages 18.2 points per game, 29th in the league, but has scored 24 or more in three of its last five road wins. Pittsburgh ranks 22nd in scoring defense at 23.9 points allowed and has given up 27-plus in three home games this season. Winner: Miami
04 – Carolina @ New Orleans: Carolina is 7-6 and has won three of its last five road games, averaging 24 points away from home. New Orleans is 3-10, ranks 29th in scoring offense at 19.1 points per game, and has lost six home games by an average of 12 points. Winner: Carolina
03 – New England vs. Buffalo: New England is 11-2 with seven straight home wins, outscoring opponents by an average of 12 points at Gillette Stadium. Buffalo is 9-4 but has a 3-3 road record and has lost three road games against top defenses. Winner: New England
02 – Cincinnati vs. Baltimore: Cincinnati ranks tenth in passing offense at 228.8 yards per game, and Joe "Cool" Burrow is getting his form back and improving each week. In a very "Un-Raven" like season, Baltimore allows 236 passing yards per game, 26th in the league. Winner: Cincinnati
01 – LA Chargers vs. Kansas City: The Chargers rank seventh in sacks allowed with 28, protecting their quarterback on 91.2 percent of dropbacks. Kansas City has only 30 sacks this season, tied for 22nd, and has failed to record multiple sacks in four of its last six games. Winner: LA Chargers
