2026 Jacksonville Jaguars Predictions with Best Bets and Odds to Win the Super Bowl

The Jacksonville Jaguars stormed into the playoffs with a 13-4 record after finishing 4-13 the year before. The expectations were at an all-time low in Jacksonville heading into last year, but they smashed them out of the park despite their early playoff exit. Now that Trevor Lawrence is entering his prime and Liam Coen has a full season as head coach under his belt, the ceiling for this team has risen even higher. Can Jacksonville capture lightning in a bottle once again with their first back-to-back playoff appearances of the century, or will they be sent back to the basement of the AFC?

Jacksonville Jaguars Offseason Recap
Due to the nature of the league, NFL rosters can change dramatically from one year to the next. Contracts, salary cap restrictions, and a large draft class mean a player’s role is never safe from one year to the next. However, Jacksonville stayed very quiet in the offseason by focusing on locking up internal talent rather than looking abroad for new starters.
On offense, 10 of the 11 starters from last season are returning. Their offensive line was serviceable after finishing near the middle last year, and Jacksonville will be running it back with the same starters at wide receiver. The only change they made was at running back, as Travis Etienne departed. Etienne eclipsed 1,000 rushing yards in three of his four years in Jacksonville, but fresh young talent had his starting job in jeopardy. Bhayshul Tuten started to take over as the lead back, and the Jaguars also brought in Chris Rodriguez Jr. from the Washington Commanders. Tuten will get a majority of the carries, but Rodriguez Jr. started to break out in the second half of last season. The Jacksonville backfield may turn into a tandem as the year goes on, and there is no denying that Rodriguez Jr. was a great cheap signing with high upside.
On defense, there was minimal movement. Jacksonville didn’t snag a defensive player in the draft until 81st overall, and defensive tackle Albert Regis is expected to mix into an already strong front four for Jacksonville. In free agency, Jacksonville signed Jahlani Tavai to help fill the hole left by the departing Devin Lloyd, but their primary focus was promoting from within after a strong record last year.
2026 Jacksonville Jaguars Season Expectations
If you were to ask a Jacksonville fan a year ago what they would be hoping for, a playoff berth would be all they wanted. However, expectations have been raised dramatically after a 13-4 record last year. Trevor Lawrence threw for 4,007 yards last year with a career-high 29 touchdown passes, and looked comfortable in the pocket throughout the season. His season-defining play came against the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football in Week 5, stumbling and recovering to steal the game with a rushing touchdown to move Jacksonville to 4-1 on the season. That put the league on notice that Lawrence may finally be turning into the player he always could have been.
The Jaguars' season certainly hinges on the play of Lawrence, but the ceiling of this squad will likely be determined by their wide receiver play. Brian Thomas Jr. exploded for 1,282 receiving yards in his rookie season, but followed that up with a very disappointing campaign last year. He had ten drops, the second most in the league, and his confidence was clearly shot after a slow start. Parker Washington ended up finishing with more yards than Thomas Jr. at the season’s end, and it was clear that Lawrence trusted Washington and TE Brenton Strange in clutch situations. It appears as though Travis Hunter will be playing most of his snaps on defense this year, leaving lots of question marks in the wide receiver room.
Speaking of Hunter and the Jaguars defense, they need to replicate their strong showing last year for this team to get back to the playoffs. They finished with the eighth-fewest points allowed with the second-most takeaways at 31, dropping into coverage more often than not. Their sack total was 29th in the league, and their rushing defense was ranked 20th, but they thrived in bending and not breaking by avoiding the big play. Josh Hines-Allen was their biggest force up front, but his team-high 8.5 sacks is not an eye-popping statistic. Only three Jaguars had three or more sacks last season, a number that will need to increase as opponents prepare for this pass rush.
2026 Jacksonville Jaguars Schedule Breakdown
The Jaguars have a slightly easier-than-average schedule this year, but not by much. They have the 15th-easiest schedule based on 2026 win projections and the 11th-easiest schedule based on last year’s records. The AFC South has a relatively easy path, but since the Jaguars won the division, they have to take on division winners Chicago, New England, and Denver as their extra games.
Just like every year, the Jaguars take a trip overseas for not one, but two European games in Weeks 5 and 6 against the Eagles and Texans. As a result, they close out the year with seven of their final ten games away from home, which means they need to take advantage of their opportunities early in the schedule.
2026 Jacksonville Jaguars Odds
After going 13-4 last season, the oddsmakers are expecting a steep drop-off from Jacksonville, with a win total set at 8.5. While their lack of offseason moves combined with an expected drop-off in takeaways can be attributed to some of the decline, it is still hard to justify this number. Jacksonville closed out the season on an eight-game win streak before falling to the Bills in the playoffs, but are not even favorites to win the AFC South with +230 odds to do so. For regular season awards, Trevor Lawrence has a shot at MVP with +2000 odds to win, while Josh Hines-Allen is a long shot to win DPOY at +5500 odds.
The Jaguars lost on a tiebreaker for the top seed in the AFC last year, but have sky-high +1600 odds to do so this season. The oddsmakers aren’t even convinced they will make the playoffs, with +100 odds to do so. If the Jaguars do make the playoffs, they have +1400 odds to win the AFC and +3000 odds to win the Super Bowl.
2026 Jacksonville Jaguars Season Predictions and Best Bets
Where is the four- or five-win drop-off the odds suggest coming from? Sure, other teams got better in the offseason, but Jacksonville has the continuity that is often overlooked. They went 13-4 last year if you needed a reminder, so we aren’t asking for a miracle in terms of regular-season wins. For the first pick, taking over 8.5 wins at -140 odds is the way to go. We do have to take a juiced line on the over, but it is incredibly hard to imagine this side finishing under .500. Their lack of home games late in the year might make this a sweat, but I expect Jacksonville to have 9+ wins locked up well before the final weeks of the season. Not only are we going to take over 8.5 wins, but we are also going to take 10+ wins at +125 odds and sprinkle on 12+ wins at +360. Will the Jaguars go 13-4 again? Probably not. But we don’t need them to have an incredible year to cash these totals. Trevor Lawrence has emerged as a legitimate starter, the backfield appears to be in good hands, and as long as their defense can play remotely close to what they did last season, an 11-6 record or better is what I expect.
Looking ahead to the playoffs, I will also be taking Jacksonville to win the AFC at +1400 odds. The lights were too bright for them last year in January, but if they put together another strong regular season, they will be back with a vengeance this year. Most of the teams I am scared of dwell in the NFC, so we won’t take the Super Bowl odds at +3000, as Jacksonville will likely be an underdog if they make the biggest game of the year, and we can always roll our winning AFC ticket over. It’s not often I look at preseason odds and see something puzzling, but these odds are truly hard to justify on a proven winning team.
