Weekend College Basketball Primer
by Robert Ferringo - 2/25/2021
March is just days away. And that means that March Madness is here! The coronavirus pandemic robbed us of the conclusion of conference tournaments, the NCAA Tournament, and all the weirdo, second-tier tournaments last year. So now I feel the pent of gambling energy of two years built up inside of me. And I am ready to unleash the fury during one of the greatest sports betting months on the calendar.
2021 NCAA Tournament Projections and Predictions
by Robert Ferringo - 2/23/2021
What a mess. The college basketball season has been a disjointed, uneven roller coaster ride through the heart of one of the worst public health crises in the history of our country. But hey, we’ve made it this far. And now the hope is that everything will fall into place so that we can enjoy the conference tournaments and NCAA Tournament that we were robbed of last March.
2020 Big Ten Basketball Predictions
by Robert Ferringo - 11/24/2020
The Big Ten should be set to mark a significant anniversary this coming April when the Final Four heads to Indianapolis. It has been 20 years since a Big Ten team won a men’s college basketball National Championship. Michigan State, who entered last year as the No. 1 team in the country and the favorite to win the title, was the last Big Ten team to cut down the nets. That was all the way back in 2000.
2020 ACC Basketball Predictions
by Robert Ferringo - 11/24/2020
One thing that you can always count on, even in these erratic and insecure times, is that the boys from Tobacco Road will play a heavy hand determining who wins the ACC championship this year. Duke and North Carolina welcome in nine of the Top 50 and 11 of the Top 70 freshmen in the country, with several one-and-done prospects suiting up in their preferred shade of blue.
2020 Big East Basketball Predictions
by Robert Ferringo - 11/20/2020
The big offseason storyline for Big East college basketball is the return of prodigal son Connecticut. After seven mostly awkward years of frolicking in the American Athletic Conference, the Huskies are back where they belong, matching up with what remains of traditional Big East rivals like Georgetown, Seton Hall and Villanova.
2020 Big 12 Basketball Predictions
by Robert Ferringo - 11/20/2020
With just 10 teams in the league, the Big 12 is, pound for pound the best college basketball conference in the country yet again. However, there is a new favorite entering the season. Baylor, not Kansas, is expected to dominate Midwest hoops this season, and they enter the year as the preseason No. 1 team in the country, according to the coaches’ poll.

2020 SEC Tournament Predictions and Betting Odds
by Robert Ferringo - 3/11/2020
So, about that SEC basketball Renaissance… The past two seasons have seen the SEC reassert itself as a true powerhouse basketball conference. They have sent 13 teams to the NCAA Tournament the past two years combined, and they have finished as one of the four highest rated conferences overall in each season. This year? Not so much.
2020 Pac-12 Tournament Predictions with Betting Odds
by Robert Ferringo - 3/11/2020
I feel like at least a bit of the Pac-12's current national standing comes from some misleading numbers. The majority of these West Coast teams did an outstanding job with nonconference scheduling. And the top teams in this league played a ton of top teams in other major conferences. The problem is that while the Pac-12 played a lot of close games against Top 25 opponents, they didn't win a lot of those games.
Free College Basketball Picks Wednesday 3/11/2020 and Opening Line Report
by Jason Radowitz - 3/11/2020
March 11 features just one mid-major championship game. However, Wednesday is the start of the many major conference tournaments, including the Pac-12, Big Ten, Big East, Big 12 and the SEC. The ACC began yesterday with North Carolina and Pittsburgh moving on to the second round of the tournament. North Carolina is a 14-seed in the ACC but is a favorite in the second round of the tournament. I don't think I've ever seen that before. Here are the early leans for some of March 11's most exciting college basketball matchups.
2020 Big Ten Tournament Predictions and Betting Odds
by Robert Ferringo - 3/10/2020
Here is how topsy-turvy and unpredictable the Big Ten is: the No. 1 seed in the league tournament, Wisconsin, is more than a 5-to-1 underdog to win this weekend's championship. The Big Ten has been a free-for-all for this entire season. That now begs the question: has the Big Ten been so competitive because it truly is the best league in the country, as the analytics suggest? Or has the head-scratching conference race been an offshoot of the league's extreme mediocrity?
2020 Big East Tournament Predictions and Betting Odds
by Robert Ferringo - 3/10/2020
The Big East is currently ranked as the No. 3 conference in the country, behind the Big Ten and Big 12. However, I think that this is by far the strongest top-to-bottom league in college basketball. And if I'm right, this week's Big East Tournament should make for one of the wildest championships in the nation.
2020 Atlantic 10 Tournament Predictions and Betting Odds
by Robert Ferringo - 3/10/2020
Last year was a low point for the Atlantic 10. They had their streak of 12 straight years or being ranked as one of the Top 10 college basketball conference in the country snapped. They also watched as both of their NCAA Tournament representatives, No. 8 seed VCU and No. 13 seed St. Louis, were blown out by double-digits in their first round tourney games.
2020 Big 12 Tournament Predictions and Betting Odds
by Robert Ferringo - 3/10/2020
After having one of the most incredible streaks in sports - Kansas' consecutive regular season championships - snapped last year, the Jayhawks find themselves back where they belong as the No. 1 seed in the Big 12 Tournament. Kansas is the favorite to cut down the nets this weekend, something they've done twice in the last six years. Kansas has two other finals appearances during that time period and are brutally tough out in this tournament.
Free College Basketball Picks Tuesday 3/10/2020 and Opening Line Report
by Jason Radowitz - 3/10/2020
It's Championship week, and Tuesday's slate has five championship games where mid-major teams will not only win a conference title, but they'll also win a trip to the NCAA Tournament. The Horizon League, Colonial, Northeast Conference, West Coast Conference, and the Summit League all conclude on Tuesday. Who will win and who will go home? Here are the early leans for these exciting championship matchups.
2020 ACC Tournament Predictions with Betting Odds
by Robert Ferringo - 3/9/2020
Since adding Notre Dame, Pittsburgh and Syracuse in 2013 in The Great Expansion, the ACC has averaged 7.3 teams in the NCAA Tournament over the last six years. Barring a major upset winner in the league tourney they will be lucky to get five teams in this year's Big Dance and this looks like the weakest ACC field in a decade.
2020 MAAC Tournament Predictions and Expert Picks
by Chris Vasile - 3/9/2020
This year's edition of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Tournament gets underway on March 10 with three games being played in the first round of the tournament. This is a very unique set up as the top five teams get a bye right into the quarterfinals, with seeds one through three taking on the winners of the first-round games, while seeds four and five play each other.
2020 MAC Tournament Predictions with Betting Odds and Picks
by Chris Vasile - 3/9/2020
This year's edition of the Mid-American Conference Tournament gets underway on March 9 with four games being played in the first round of the tournament. Seeds five through 12 are all in action, with the winner of those games moving on to the second round where they will be matched up against the top four seeds. From there, the winner of the tournament is designated the Mid-American Tournament Champion and receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, which begins March 17 with the First-Four play-in games.
2020 Sun Belt Conference Tournament Predictions and Expert Picks
by Chris Vasile - 3/6/2020
This year's edition of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament gets underway on March 7 with two games being played in the first round of the tournament. This is a very unique set up as the top two teams get a bye right into the semifinals, while seeds three and four get their tournament started in the quarterfinals. The fifth and sixth seeds get started in the second round against the winner of the first two games, respectively.
