NFL Betting Predictions: Week 14 Opening Line Report and Picks
by Jason Radowitz - 12/7/2020
On Sunday, every sportsbook in the country thought they caught their biggest break of the season. The Jets were about to defeat the Raiders and send every parlay with the Raiders moneyline into the trash can. Except, Jets the now former defensive coordinator, Gregg Williams, called for a zero coverage, all-out blitz, leaving one of the fastest new wide receivers in the game, Henry Ruggs, wide open in one-on-one coverage with 13 seconds to go and the Jets leading the Raiders 28-24.
College and NFL Football Biggest Line Moves for Dec. 5-7
by Doug Upstone - 12/4/2020
There are those of us that love to play the never-ending battle – Beat The Oddsmaker. Though they have the upper hand in setting the numbers and having the betting odds stacked in their favor, we press on and challenge them. They sometimes have to make adjustments in the form of line moves based on possibly an error on their behalf, injuries, or the public possibly rightly or wrongly backing one side because they want to.
NFL Betting Predictions: Week 13 Opening Line Report and Picks
by Jason Radowitz - 11/30/2020
The Broncos didn’t have any quarterbacks on their roster on Sunday due to COVID-19 hitting their three quarterbacks. Unable to pick up a new quarterback, the Broncos elected to roll with Kendall Hinton, who played quarterback for Wake Forest in college. He couldn’t even hold the job in Wake Forest, but he was inserted in the starting lineup, starting quarterback for an NFL team.
Allen Eastman's Famous "411 System" for Betting the NFL
by Docsports.com - 11/28/2020
Several years ago a professional gambler finally perfected what he believed to be an all-encompassing NFL football betting system: The “411 System”. This NFL football betting system took into account a range of NFL variables like coaching, quarterback play, defense, and even weather. There was a point value assigned to each variable and teams were compared based on their scores according to the system list.
NFL Betting Predictions: Week 12 Opening Line Report and Picks
by Jason Radowitz - 11/24/2020
It’s a tradition to watch the NFL on Thanksgiving. We’re blessed with three games and get to enjoy family along with football. This year, many of us won’t get the opportunity to spend quality time with family, but we’ll also still have the chance to watch football.
College and NFL Football Biggest Line Moves for Nov. 21-22
by Doug Upstone - 11/20/2020
As we navigate our weekly Covid issues for the games on the board at online betting websites, we still can come up with line moves in football. The week we will take a tour around three of the Power 5 conferences along with a trio of early NFL football games on Sunday. Let’s take the deep dive to understand what caused the line movement and hand out some free picks.
NFL Betting Predictions: Week 11 Opening Line Report and Picks
by Jason Radowitz - 11/16/2020
I’m not one to name winners and losers in a trade. I like to let trades play out. But I’d like to revisit one of the most ridiculous trades in NFL history. You know exactly where I’m going with this. On Sunday, DeAndre Hopkins scored the game-winning touchdown for Arizona against the Buffalo Bills on a hail mary, catching the ball above three Bills defenders and securing it for a completed catch and touchdown.
NFL Betting Predictions: Week 10 Opening Line Report and Picks
by Jason Radowitz - 11/10/2020
Maybe the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been exposed. Or maybe the New Orleans Saints are just that more prepared against the Buccaneers, knowing that if they defeat the Saints, they’ll still be sitting in first place, like it’s been for quite some time. In the 2010’s, the Saints were 14-6 against the Buccaneers. Now in 2020, the Saints are 2-0, increasing their record to 16-6 against the Buccaneers since 2010.
NFL Betting Predictions: Week 9 Opening Line Report and Picks
by Jason Radowitz - 11/2/2020
The NFL Trade Deadline is set for Nov. 3. Now we get to see which teams are all in and which teams are waiting for next season. The 2-5 Chargers have blown plenty of close games and traded their cornerback in Desmond King to the Titans, who are in real need of defense in the passing game. Kwon Alexander was acquired from the 49ers as the Saints, 5-2, prepare for a crazy second matchup against NFC South divisional rival in the Buccaneers.
NFL Betting Predictions: Week 8 Opening Line Report and Picks
by Jason Radowitz - 10/26/2020
The NFC East is wacky. The Eagles are leading the division with a 2-4-1 record. The Eagles have allowed 196 points and have scored 163 points, yet they’re in prime position to make the playoffs. We’ve had interesting storylines in the NFC East this week. Because the Giants played the Eagles on Thursday night, Daniel Jones and Saquan Barkley spent some time out at a bar without a mask. They claimed that the video of them hanging out was last year, but the media has rebutted that and has said it was this season.
NFL Betting Predictions: Week 7 Opening Line Report and Picks
by Jason Radowitz - 10/19/2020
The Falcons and Giants won their first game of the season during Week 6, leaving the New York Jets as the only winless team in the NFL this season. It’s been a miserable last couple of seasons for the Jets behind head coach Adam Gase. There’s always something. There’s always a problem. This team isn't responding and is now 0-6 against the spread along with being 0-6 straight up. At many outlets, the Jets were double-digit underdogs to the Miami Dolphins at around -9 or -10.
NFL Betting Predictions: Week 6 Opening Line Report and Picks
by Jason Radowitz - 10/12/2020
Sunday’s game of the week will be the Tampa Bay Buccaneers against the Green Bay Packers. It’s the 4:25 EST start time and the Fox Game of the Week. We’ve got Aaron Rodgers facing off against Tom Brady. There’s an argument for both quarterbacks when it comes to the GOAT (Greatest of all time) conversation. While Brady averaged more yards per season in his career, Rodgers has averaged more touchdowns, less interceptions and a higher completion percentage.
2020 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Odds and Expert Betting Predictions
by Chris Vasile - 10/8/2020
We are four games into the 2020-21 NFL season, and we’ve been treated to some excellent performances by some of the game’s great players. We’ve seen Russell Wilson, Aaron Rodgers, and Josh Allen come flying out of the gates and stick their name in the early MVP discussion. We’ve seen great performances from players nobody has heard of until they score three touchdowns in a single game like Robert Tonyan did on Monday night against Atlanta.
College and NFL Football Biggest Line Moves for Sept. 26-27
by Doug Upstone - 9/25/2020
Another week of football and another week of sportsbooks and football bettors having different opinions. That's the beauty of sports betting, we can have different opinions, and in about three hours we find out who is right or wrong. We’ve lined up three college and three pro football contests that have seen significant line moves, explaining what is going on and who might cover the spread.
2020 Washington Football Team Predictions and Season Win Total Picks
by Robert Ferringo - 9/4/2020
The sinking interest and waning support of the Washington fan base has been an open secret/public joke for years. So, with that in mind, I have to ask: if the 2020 NFL season is played without fans in the stadiums, will anyone really notice a difference in Washington?
NFL Pandemic Betting Props: Yes, You Can Actually Bet This!
by Raphael Esparza - 8/11/2020
It’s no secret that you can pretty much bet on anything and everything, and I will start displaying some of those outrageous betting options here at Doc’s Sports. During these pandemic times, sports books are trying to keep up with the high demand in betting propositions. And at times these great value props get overlooked on the daily sports action.
Tampa Bay Bucs Super Bowl, Conference Odds Updated as Gronk and Brady Reunite
by Doug Upstone - 4/21/2020
On another dull day for sports bettors, other than more NFL Draft talk and horse racing bets to place, we were jolted out of seats. Rob Gronkowski decided not only to come back to football but asked or maybe even demanded (we will learn more on that later) to be traded to Tampa Bay to rekindle his relationship with Tom Brady.
The Buffalo Bills Are Winning The NFL Offseason
by Robert Ferringo - 4/8/2020
Go ahead and read the title of this article again. Let that sink in. Because I know I don't believe it either. The Buffalo Bills have been a pack of rambling losers since the turn of the century. Mainly irrelevant on the national scene, Buffalo's primary role in pro football has been serving as fodder for the New England Patriots dynasty. And the Bills have had just four seasons above .500 in the last 20 years.
NFL Draft Odds for Virtual First Round
by Raphael Esparza - 4/8/2020
The NFL Draft is in a couple of weeks. And with COVID-19 still changing lifestyles, the NFL will conduct the draft Fully Virtual. What does Fully Virtual mean when it comes to the NFL Draft? That means all coaches, general managers and other personnel will operate from their homes.
NFL Championship Weekend Betting Public Action Report
by Trevor Whenham - 1/17/2020
Most of the time when I sit down to write about the line movement surrounding a major football game, it's a story of wild swings, clear preferences, sharp action, and general intrigue. When it comes to the Championship Round of the NFL Playoffs this year, though, the story is that there really is no story. Oddsmakers set numbers for both games that pretty much everyone seems to have been okay with.
