Take Memphis over Dallas (8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 26)
Memphis was kind of an afterthought this season after so many changes in the west improved other teams while the Grizzlies did not make any big splash. However, they have looked as good as any team in the league to this point. They have had one of - if not the - toughest schedule in the league to start the season and have made it look easy, including a 10-point win at home against Golden State and an eight-point win on the road at Houston. Those are two teams some consider the top two seeds in the west. It's hard to tell if the Grizzlies can keep it going all season, but one thing is clear - this team wants a strong start and is playing with a lot of intensity to open the season. The Mavs look really bad this season. They lost by 5 and 6 to Sacramento and Atlanta, respectively, at home no less. They played two common opponents to the Grizzlies - Golden State and Houston - and they lost by a combined 46 points in those two games. This is the first in a back-to-back, home-and-home series between these two teams in two nights and with the way the Grizzlies have been playing we are confident they will come out and try to crush the worst team in the division as they know every win will be crucial in their hopes of the playoffs this season in the tough West.

The Falcons are a run-heavy team to say the least, and thus the clock will be running most of the afternoon. That should set up a strong play with the under in this battle of Colorado teams. The Rams are coming off a game against New Mexico, a similar run-heavy team, and the total points in that game was 51 points, and that is well below today's posted number. Take 'Over' 57.0 Kansas State vs. Kansas (3 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 28)
Two teams that have been trending to the over will meet when the Kansas State Wildcats travel to take on their instate rival, the Kansas Jayhawks at KU Memorial Stadium in Lawrence, KS, on Saturday afternoon. The Wildcats have posted a 6-1 record to the over in their last seven road games where they faced a team with a losing record at home and they have gone an excellent 9-4 to the over in their last thirteen games overall going back to the end of the 2016 season. The Jayhawks have been an over team as well in the spot the are in here on Saturday as they have gone up and over the total in four straight home games and they are an impressive 5-2 to the over in their last seven games following a game where they gave up 40 points or more. Take #194 Iowa State (+7) over TCU (3:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 28)
Well if you do not think Iowa State is for real, the win over Oklahoma on the road, and then a huge blowout win as a seven-point dog last week at Texas Tech should raise your eyebrows. Cyclone QB Kempt, who was a 3 rd-string backup headed into the Oklahoma game, has come out of nowhere, and thrown 7 TD passes and a 70% completion rate and ran the offense to perfection, and he has weapons all around him, including one of the top WRs in the Big 12 and a solid RB as well. Yes TCU is the better team, but Iowa State at home in Ames is a total snake pit to travel to and the locals will be jacked up. Last week TCU had Kansas and the week before that they had Kansas State, who had to start a frosh QB against them; this test will be much stiffer. Two good coaches going at it here and TCU having Texas on deck and Oklahoma the week after that could catch them looking ahead, and if you discount ISU they will not only cover the spread but beat you straight up as they are playing with high confidence, in some chilly weather, in a tough place to get a win at this Saturday. Take #179 North Carolina State +7.5 over Notre Dame (3:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 29)
These two teams come into this game a combined 12-2 overall on the season. Lots to like here in this spot for North Carolina State as they go into this battle off a bye last weekend and with two weeks to prepare for this contest. The Wolfpack have won 6 straight games, and their lone loss this year was against South Carolina in a game that they should have won as they dominated the contest at the line of scrimmage with 258 yards more of offense than the Gamecocks. Notre Dame comes in off an emotional win last week over rival USC. The Irish have been solid this season, but they now appear to be a bit overvalued in the betting markets as the hype surrounding them has picked up a lot of steam over the past week. The Wolfpack won't be intimidated in this one, either, considering they've already upset Florida State and Louisville this year as they were underdogs in both games and they also beat Notre Dame last season. Free NHL Hockey Prediction From Doc's Sports :
Take Arizona (+135) over New Jersey (7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 28)
The Arizona Coyotes have yet to earn a win this season (as of Wednesday), but I think they have a good shot of getting one in New Jersey on Saturday night. Yes, the Devils are off to a great start, but this roster isn't any better than last year's edition that finished dead last in the Eastern Conference. They'll come back to earth. The Coyotes made some really nice moves in the off-season to bolster the defense, including new goalie Antti Raanta from the Rangers. It always takes a little bit of time to form some chemistry with new guys, and Arizona has looked better in their last couple of games. We're going to buy low on the Coyotes as I think they're a lot better than people think. Take Arizona in our Saturday Free Play selection. Take 'Over' 44.5 Carolina at Tampa Bay (1 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 29)
I generally don't write up my totals plays because they are based on proprietary systems and I don't want to give anything away! But you can't argue with the results, as I have gone 34-11 (76%) with my NFL totals this year, and that's been a big part of my +$7,200 overall football run. I think we have another winner here that isn't a system play. The Tampa Bay defense is horrible. They've given up 30 points to the Bills and 38 points to Arizona, two of the worst offenses in the league, in the past two weeks. They also surrendered 34 points to Minnesota and 23 points to the Giants, two teams that aren't exactly offensive juggernauts. After mustering just three points at Chicago last week I think that the Panthers offense is going to be motivated for a good showing here and they should be able to push the Bucs around. Conversely, I think Tampa Bay will have some success against Carolina's Cover-2 because the Bucs match up really well with that defense. Tampa has the one thing you want to beat the Cover-2: individual talent. Guys like Mike Evans, DeSean Jackson and O.J. Howard can make off-script plays and really punish the soft spots in Carolina's secondary. The Panthers have allowed an average of 26.6 points per game in their last five contests, and I think the Bucs will threaten that as well. Both teams need this game. Both teams are going to cut loose. I see both getting into the 20s and this one will get 'over'. Don't forget about my 7-Unit Pac-12 Game of the Year on Saturday. Take #259 San Francisco (+12) over Philadelphia (1 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 29)
This line is just too many points as the 49ers play people tough (except this past game) and the Eagles are going to slip just a bit after their big win over the Redskins on Monday Night Football. San Fran has lost every game, but five of their seven losses have come by 2-3 points. The 49ers are a young team that plays hard. They will make this game much closer than people think. Will San Fran pull out the win? Not likely, but they will keep this to a one-possession game. Take the points here as the dog has bite. Free NFL Football Prediction From Allen Eastman :
Take #270 Washington (+2.5) over Dallas (4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 29)
I am taking the home underdog in this one. I don't think that Dallas should be favored in this game. This number is an overreaction to last week. The Cowboys were coming off a bye week and blew out a terrible 0-7 San Francisco team. Washington was blown out by Philadelphia on Monday Night Football. The books and the public are reacting to those results and now how good these two teams are. This line opened with Washington at -1.5, but then after the MNF game they dropped to +2.5. That is too big of a swing. I think the Redskins are the better team in this one. The underdog has also been the play in this series, going 25-9 ATS in the last 34 meetings. Washington is 15-6 ATS in the last 21 meetings, and the Redskins are 8-3 ATS in the game after a loss. Dallas is 4-9 ATS in its last 13 games and just 2-6 ATS after a win. Free College Football Prediction From Indian Cowboy :
Take #107 Eastern Michigan (+7) over Northern Illinois (7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 26)
We go for five straight free pick winners after a blowout winner on Old Dominion and Western Kentucky easily going 'Over' the posted total. Per this game, you have a Eastern Michigan team that is picking up some steam as a strong ATS cover of late. Don't look so much at the 2-5 straight up record but look closer at the fact that this team's strength is their defense, which is a top 35 in overall defense and top 10 in passing yards allowed. On top of that, this team has an offense that features a top 35 passing attack and an overall defense that is top 30 in points allowed. They come off an impressive effort against Western Michigan, losing 17-20 in overtime but prior to that had covered against Army, losing 27-28 as a 4.5 point underdog, losing to Toledo by 5 points as a 13.5 point underdog and losing to Kentucky 20-24 as well as a 14 point underdog. In fact, Eastern Michigan is 5-2 ATS on the year and has not had back-to-back ATS non-covers all year. This team lost to Northern Illinois last year 24-31 in overtime and they have an even better defense and passing attack this year. Northern Illinois for as good as they are, they come off a huge win against Bowling Green and will face a tough defense this week with a possible let down and they have a look-ahead with Toledo on deck as well. Free College Football Prediction From Vernon Croy :
Take #110 Oregon State (+23) over Stanford (10 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 26)
This pick falls into one of my top CFB systems and the Cardinal have only beat the Beavers by more than 23 points once in their last 4 meetings, and that one big loss was by 24 points. The Beavers can run the ball, averaging 4.7 yards per run at home this season, and they have averaged 156 rypg at home this season. The Beavers ability to run the ball will make this a lower-scoring game than many might think, which will also allow them to cover this large number at home. The Cardinal have allowed 401 yards per game on the road this season, and they have struggled in true road games with a 1-2 record losing to USC by 18-points and San Diego State by 3-points, while barely beating Utah by 3 points.
