2024 PGA Picks: RSM Classic Odds and Expert Betting Predictions
by Mike Allen - 11/20/2024
After more than two months of meaningful PGA Tour golf, the first-ever FedEx Cup Fall concludes this weekend in the undercover regional capital of the golfing world. There are numerous islands with resorts and some high-level courses off the coasts of South Carolina and Georgia. Many PGA Tour pros have houses here and regularly practice in the region when they aren't competing.
2024 PGA Picks: Butterfield Bermuda Championship Odds and Expert Betting Predictions
by Mike Allen - 11/12/2024
The FedEx Cup Fall is approaching its end with next week's RSM Classic, but first, we make a stop on the stunning island of Bermuda for the Butterfield Bermuda Championship. I used to think Bermuda was located amongst the other Caribbean islands, but no. One day, my best friend asked me to be his best man at his wedding in Bermuda.
2024 PGA Picks: World Wide Technology Championship Odds and Expert Betting Predictions
by Mike Allen - 11/5/2024
Buenos dias ladies and gentlemen, and bienvenido to the Tiger Woods-designed El Cabernal at Diamante in sunny Los Cabos, Mexico, for the 4th event of its name, the World Wide Technology Championship. We’ve had several different names for this tournament, but it was always played at Riviera Maya near Cancun until last year’s move to Cabo San Lucas.
2024 PGA Picks: ZOZO Championship Odds and Expert Betting Predictions
by Mike Allen - 10/22/2024
The FedEx Cup Fall wastes no time this week as we travel from Las Vegas all the way to Tokyo Bay. Yes, on the other side of the planet in Narashino, Japan, for the ZOZO Championship. There aren't just Asian golfers participating, either. Americans Xander Shauffele and Justin Thomas are in the field. California's Collin Morikawa is the defending champion at the ZOZO Championship. Japan's own and former winner here, Hideki Matsuyama, is playing his best golf of 2024 and will be in the field.
2024 PGA Picks: Shriners Children’s Open Odds and Expert Betting Predictions
by Mike Allen - 10/15/2024
The first three tournaments of the FedEx Cup Fall didn't disappoint. I understand a big reason for that is the low expectations. There's a priceless life lesson for you, and we just got started. Ditch the expectations whenever possible. The previous three and subsequent five PGA Tour events make up the FedEx Cup Fall, and it's essentially an opportunity for the Tour to shift to a near complete year-round schedule. The biggest opportunities, however, will be for the golfers in the respective fields.
PGA Props Picks: Black Desert Championship Predictions
by Mike Allen - 10/8/2024
Hey, the FedEx Cup Fall is off to a warm start with our cashing of Lucas Glover to finish inside the top 20 at (+275). He finished one stroke back over 72 holes and eventually tied for 3rd as Kevin Yu defeated Beau Hossler in a playoff. This week, we make our way north of Las Vegas to the charming town of St. George, Utah. More often than not, serving as a gateway to Zion and other nearby National Parks, St. George has become a golfing haven. The Black Desert Championship lives up to its name, as you can see the aged volcanic soot-stained mountains in the distance from all over the course.
PGA Props Picks: Sanderson Farms Predictions
by Mike Allen - 10/1/2024
You won't see world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler in the field this week, nor will you hear Xander Schauffele's name. There is no Rory McIlroy. That's alright, though. Anytime Scheffler shows up, he has a chance to steal a victory away from us. Also, betting on him at barely 3-1 odds isn't the answer, either. We may have to lean on some of the few PGA Tour regulars in the field this week, as trying to sort through all the young talent is futile.
PGA Props Picks: Presidents Cup Predictions
by Mike Allen - 9/25/2024
Golf's Presidents Cup is often forgotten about by American sports fans due to the excitement of college and pro football, as the competition has been played in mid or late September ever since the inaugural event in 1994. As you may know, this is truly the Presidents Cup. Every two years, the Americans faced off against the International Team over four rounds. However, this year, we will see five rounds of play over four days.
PGA Props Picks: TOUR Championship Predictions
by Mike Allen - 8/27/2024
We have made it! Thank you for sticking with us this far. The 2024 FedEx Cup PGA Tour Championship is this weekend. Last week was the BMW Championship, where we saw a strange withdrawal from Hideki Matsuyama that made several future winning ticket holders of the Japanese star cry. This tournament felt good from a betting perspective, as we had faded Ludvig Aberg for weeks in a row only to play him hard to win a group including Scheffler and Schauffele at the BMW.
PGA Props Picks: BMW Championship Predictions
by Mike Allen - 8/21/2024
There are only three weeks of the PGA Tour's FedEx Cup Playoffs. This past tournament, the St Jude Championship, was the first round of the postseason. One of the best iron players in the world, Japan's Hideki Matsuyama, finished 17 under par for the first three rounds, and even with pros like Xander Schauffele shooting a seven-under Sunday, he held on for the two-stroke win with a final round even par.
2024 LIV Picks: Greenbrier Odds and Expert Betting Predictions
by Matt Zitt - 8/15/2024
With the Olympics in the rearview mirror, LIV Golf returns to the United States with only two regular season events left before the Team Championship in Dallas. Jon Rahm and the rest of the crew will head to West Virginia to tackle The Old White Course at The Greenbrier Resort. In last year’s edition, Bryson DeChambeau dominated the final two rounds with a 21-under-par score to stand victorious. Rahm and DeChambeau will enter the weekend as the co-favorites, with Joaquin Niemann and Tyrrell Hatton not too far behind. Doc’s Sports will break down some of the best action from West Virginia below.
PGA Props Picks: FedEx St. Jude Championship Predictions
by Mike Allen - 8/14/2024
After the most forgetful week on the PGA Tour in Greensboro, where we saw horrible weather and an even uglier field of golfers, it's all of a sudden playoff time. The FedEx Cup Playoffs begin this week with the St Jude Championship from the barbecue capital of the world, Memphis, Tennessee. The field is obviously loaded with the game’s best golfers. Leading the way atop the betting board is the newest Olympic Gold Medalist in men’s golf, the #1 ranked player in the world, Scottie Scheffler. You can take the Jersey native to win. However, ever since his mid-season surge, his payouts have plummeted.
2024 PGA Picks: Wyndham Championship Odds and Expert Betting Predictions
by Matt Zitt - 8/6/2024
The PGA Tour heads to Greensboro, North Carolina for the Wyndham Championship, which will serve as the final stop of the regular season before the playoffs start next week. Sedgefield Country Club will host the event and plays smaller than most courses on the PGA schedule. The field this week is not very strong, but there is still some star power teeing it up with Sungjae Im, Shane Lowry, Cameron Young, and Jordan Spieth all competing to solidify playoff positioning.
PGA Props Picks: Wyndham Championship Predictions
by Mike Allen - 8/6/2024
Wow, what an Olympics it was for the golf world! The leaderboard was packed tightly with the best golfers in the world from Thursday until the final hole. It took a bogey-free 62 on Sunday for the world #1, Scottie Scheffler, to claim his first gold medal.
PGA Picks: British Open Predictions and Betting Odds
by Matt Zitt - 7/17/2024
The PGA Tour will stay put in Scotland for a second straight week as the best in the world meet up for the season’s final major, the Open Championship. Royal Troon Golf Club will be the host course this week and the field is loaded per usual for a major.
2024 LPGA Picks: Dow Championship Odds and Expert Betting Predictions
by Matt Zitt - 6/27/2024
One week removed from the LPGA’s third major of the season, the tour will head to Midland Country Club in Michigan for this week’s Dow Championship. This serves as the only team event on the LPGA schedule and resembles the PGA Tour’s Zurich Classic, which was won by Rory Mcllroy and Shane Lowry in April. There are two rounds of alternate shot and two rounds of best ball, with a 36-hole cut taking place after Friday.
PGA Props Picks: Rocket Mortgage Classic Predictions
by Mike Allen - 6/26/2024
Well, the king is back. After an incredibly disappointing four days at the US Open, world #1 Scottie Scheffler returned to his winning ways with a hard-fought playoff win last week at the Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands.
PGA Props Picks: Travelers Championship Predictions
by Mike Allen - 6/19/2024
The third major tournament of the year for the PGA Tour is now behind us, and the LIV golfers stole one from us. Rory McIlroy is having one of the most consistent years of his career to date and was on pace to defeat the eventual winner, Bryson DeChambeau, until he missed not one or two but three par putts in the final round.
2024 LPGA Picks: KPMG Women’s PGA Championship Odds and Expert Betting Predictions
by Matt Zitt - 6/19/2024
The past two weeks have seen unprecedented comebacks on the LPGA Tour, and hopefully the third major of the season can provide the same drama. Lilia Vu returned to action last week in Michigan and sat eight strokes behind the leader heading into the final round on Sunday. After a bogey-free round of 65, she found herself in a playoff with Lexi Thompson and Grace Kim.
2024 LIV Picks: LIV Golf Tour Nashville Odds and Expert Betting Predictions
by Matt Zitt - 6/18/2024
Chalk up a victory for the LIV Golf Tour, as Bryson DeChambeau won the U.S. Open in dramatic fashion last weekend at Pinehurst. After Rory Mcllroy missed a four-foot putt on the 18th hole to bogey, all DeChambeau had to do was par for the victory. After an erratic tee shot that left no options except chipping out, he found a bunker 55-yards away from the green.
