Basic Strategy Teasers: Best Week 7 NFL Betting Options
If you’ve been following along with the Basic Strategy Teaser since Week 1, you would be up a good chunk of change. The teaser that I give out on a weekly basis is hitting at an 80 percent clip, and I fully expect to continue that run into the middle portion of the season. Sportsbooks have not yet adjusted the spreads they give out to take away the opportunity for proper teasers. And until they do, we will continue to have great lines and great spots to bet into.
As for last week’s result, we cashed another six-point teaser, which brings out record to 4-1 through six weeks of action. We had Carolina teased up to +7.5, and we needed as many points as we could get as the game went to OT and the Vikings ultimately won by six points. The second leg was Arizona +8.5, and this game was never in doubt as Arizona went into Cleveland and emerged with a blowout win as a small underdog. Let’s keep the momentum going in Week 7.

Best Six-Point Teaser for Week 6.
Green Bay -2.5 & Miami +8.5 (-120)
Risk: $120 to win $100
Let’s take a second to explain these spreads to those of you who are new around here. The Green Bay Packers are 8.5-point underdogs against the Washington Football Team. By using a six-point teaser, you will bring that spread down through the key numbers of three and seven and get them as 2.5-point favorites. As for the Dolphins, they are 2.5-point underdogs against the Falcons, and teasing them upwards will get you through the key numbers of three and seven and make them 8.5-point dogs.
In terms of the first leg of this teaser, how can you pass up the opportunity to take the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field at less than a field goal on the spread? It would be preposterous to do so, and I like money, so I’m not about to pass up this chance. Looks, the Packers are a really good football team. They have one of the best trios in the game today with Aaron Rodgers, Aaron Jones and Davante Adams putting up the points. The defense, which has been much maligned over the last few seasons, has actually been the better of the two units and they rank inside the top five in passing yards allowed and total yards. I fully expect them to be able to put the clamps on the Washington offense as the Football Team comes into this one ranked 25th in total yards, 27th in third-down conversion percentage and 21st in points. Not to mention, the Football Team’s defense is ranked dead last in points allowed, passing yards allowed and third-down conversion percentage. Do you think Aaron Rodgers isn’t going to shred that defense? I’m banking on him not only for this teaser but for fantasy purposes, my office pool and any straight bets that include the Packers. The Packers are dominant at home, and getting them under a field goal is a gift.
And secondly, the Miami Dolphins. While I admit this is not my favorite play on the board, I must trust the process and believe in this Basic Strategy Teaser method no matter which team I’m backing. Look, the Dolphins will be in a tough spot on Sunday. They are playing this game right after returning home from London, and that in of itself is not very good. Typically, teams have their bye weeks after the London game, but Miami drew the short straw and must host the Falcons – another team we just saw in London two weeks ago. With that said, if Miami has anything going for them, it’s the fact that I’m not in the mood to trust Matt Ryan to cover such a large spread. The Falcons are not constructed to blow teams out, and their defense should give Miami’s offense enough room to make plays and put some points on the board. The talk this week is that there is a deal imminent with the Texans and Dolphins for DeShaun Watson, which would leave Tua Tagovailoa the odd man out. I believe Tua shows up in a big way here this week, in front of his home fans, and balls out. While the Dolphins still may lose, I can see them losing another close game – something they are really good at.
Alternative Options
There are none. As of writing this, most spreads fall outside of the sweet spot for the BST we promote. If you see any games come down to -7.5 to -8.5 or +1.5 to +2.5, tease those teams appropriately.
