Odds to Win the NFC East From Three US Sportsbooks
The haves and the have-nots have assembled in the NFL East title race. The Dallas Cowboys are on the top of the futures betting list after having the first place record last season. The Philadelphia Eagles finished second with a surprising 9-8 record and are lined to finish second again.
The Washington Commanders and New York Giants are the last two spots. Both are coming off a losing season, but that is yesterday’s news.
FanDuel, DraftKings and BetMGM have given odds to win the NFC East this season. There are similarity and difference for all of the numbers.
Doc’s Sports offers NFL expert picks for every game on our NFL predictions page.
Dallas Cowboys
FanDuel as the highest number at +135. DraftKings has the lowest number at +125, and BetMGM is someway in between (+130).
The Cowboys were in position to win the division last year. Quarterback Dak Prescott and the Dallas offense sparked to go 6-1 straight-up in the first seven games, and the Cowboys finished 5-1. Along the way, Dallas was first and seemed ahead to the pack.
Prescott returns, but the bulk of the leaders have gone. WR Amari Cooper went to Cleveland, and that chips off the remaining edge.
CeeDee Lamb is supposed to replace Cooper as the first wide receiver, and TE Dalton Schultz is also a big part of the plans. The Cowboys may not run away with things, but they should be the leaders for the start of the regular season.
Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles are listed at FanDuel at +170, DraftKings at +165 and BetMGM at +175 odds to win the NFC East.
Jalen Hurts could be the key to the door on how the Eagles play. The connection with AJ Brown will impact the passing game. The running game will come into to play as long as he still leading the pack..
The value play is Philadelphia. There is enough meat on the bone to place these odds, and there is enough competition to respect the sides.
Washington Commanders
The Washington Commanders are +500 odds for the NFC East at FanDuel, DraftKings and BetMGM.
The four straight November/December games last season made you think about taking the long odds to Washington this year. The final score in a pair the December home-and-home series against Dallas and Philadelphia made you pull back the bet.
Head coach Ron Rivera is back at the helm, and quarterback Carson Wentz puts his stamp on the team. Adding Wentz could be a blessing or a curse to the Commanders over the next five months.
New York Giants
FanDuel is going at +700 odds, while DraftKings and BetMGM are going with +750.
Questions are surrounding the Giants in a bid to win the division while having the longest odds on the table. Some things need to happen for this team to be competitive. Running back Saquon Barkley returns to form and plays 17 games. Quarterback Daniel Jones steps up to improve his passing game. New York makes good on the promise to feature two of the first-round draft picks.
