Monday Night Football Predictions: Green Bay Packers vs Las Vegas Raiders
We are now 3-3 on our Monday Night Football predictions. That is after I wrote that I believe Seattle is the better team with betting odds of (+1.5). Then, I still chose to play the super public over 47 points bet. It didn't come close to hitting, and neither did the Giants, as the better team cruised to a 24-3 win.
That one hurt. Anytime you believe you have the better team and the points, just take it. We win or we learn, though, but either way, we move on.
This week's matchup is a little bit tougher to call because I don't think either team is significantly better than the other. I do believe the Green Bay defense is underrated, and the offense "should" improve, though. Add that Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garrappolo is still questionable to play on Monday as he recovers from a concussion.
His replacement, the great Aiden O'Connell, turned the ball over three times last week. We can expect him to slightly improve if his number gets called again, but I wouldn't put much stock into this backup.

Packers vs Raiders Betting Odds
Point Spread
Green Bay: -2 (-110)
Las Vegas: +2 (-110)
If new quarterback Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers offense could show us that they can score some points, I would certainly back them as 2-point favorites here "on the road" opposite the Raiders.
Las Vegas is a transplant city, and lots of people live there from the Midwest. These are all massive football fan states like Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin. I am sure there will be Packer fans in the house, and I am also confident that 80% of them will be bigger football fans than those wearing your average Raider jersey.
I'm not hating on the Vegas fans at all. They deserve a football team. It's 100% a sports town, but it's hard to get a lifelong fan to just switch up their favorite team.
The Las Vegas Knights experiment has worked out much better so far.
Moneyline
Green Bay: -135
Las Vegas: +115
The (-2) isn't that bad for the Packers. So, if you like Green Bay as much as I do here, just take the moneyline bet of (-135). If, for some reason, the Raiders are tempting you, then take them plus the 2 points.
Point Total
Over 44.5 (-110)
Under 44.5 (-110)
We don't have the better team and the points this week, but I am still staying away from this total. I have heard a lot of people split on it as well.
Analysis
The Packers are 2-2 heading into Week 5, but they could easily be 3-1 as they lost to the Atlanta Falcons on the road by one point.
We were on the Lions to beat them on Thursday Night Football last week. We said we had the better team, and we hit the moneyline. I think that is what we should do here with the Pack.
They are a Top 10 defense, and on the other side of the ball, they are even at 4.9 yards/play on offense with the Raiders. Neither team has been able to run the ball this year, but the Packers have Aaron Jones back for the second week, and I expect him to be the difference in this one.
Along with AJ Dillon, they have a great 1-2 punch in the backfield. We can't act like Josh Jacobs doesn't exist, but he is getting hit earlier by defenders than any other back in the league. His team cannot block for him, and I don't think that will improve on Monday Night.
Packers vs Raiders Prediction
I think we see the best Packers team we have seen all year. Jordan Love is getting better with every start.
On the other side, Josh McDaniels will be fired soon. I just read an article that Davonte Adams and the aforementioned Jacobs could be on the trading block. Hey, I don't blame them for that. This team needs to take at least one step back before they can improve.
