Monday Night Football Picks: Buffalo Bills vs Los Angeles Rams Best Bets

This week’s edition of Monday Night Football brings a clash of the titans, and a possible Super Bowl matchup. The 3-1 Buffalo Bills will travel to SoFi Stadium to take on the 2-2 Los Angeles Rams. Buffalo is looking to get back into the win column after the New England Patriots battled back and stole a victory in last week’s matchup. Los Angeles is looking to find their way back over .500 as they return home from a two-week road trip. Buffalo had one of the hottest offenses in the league to start the season, but they stumbled against the Patriots. Now the Rams stout defense will be looking to find a way to shut down the Bills on offense.

Monday Night Football Buffalo Bills Game Preview
The Bills offense struggled against the Patriots defense last week. They scored 17 points in the second quarter, but nine total in the other three. They were outgained by 60 yards last week and were dominated time of possession. James Cook has been a strong point in this offense, but he managed just 75 yards after totaling over 130 in each of the last two weeks. Despite losing to their division foes, the Bills still sit atop the AFC East. Overall, the Bills lead the league in PPG (31.8), and they rank eighth in the league in YPG (386.3). Defensively, they have struggled. The Bills have allowed over 370 YPG and over 26 PPG, both ranking in the lower third of the league standings.
If the Bills want to snag a big road win in this game, they will need to find that spark on offense again. They need to protect Josh Allen from Byron Young and possibly Aaron Donald, while also getting Cook and the ground game going early in order to open up the offense. On defense, they need to avoid giving up anything deep and make Stafford have to settle for short passes.
Buffalo Bills 3 Keys to Victory
- Protect Josh Allen from the Rams Pass Rush
- Limit Matthew Stafford Impact
- Get the Ground Attack Rolling

Monday Night Football Los Angeles Rams Game Preview
After beating the Eagles last week, the Rams have responded well to both of their losses on the season. They needed a 14-point fourth quarter in order to seal the game in Philadelphia, but doing so resulted in their first road win of the season. Despite the score, the Rams dominated in this one. While two turnovers kept the Eagles alive, Los Angeles was able to outgain the Eagles by 243 yards. The Rams averaged over four YPC on offense, and their defense shut down Jalen Hurts, keeping him to just 2.2 yards per pass, and just 12/27 passing. Overall, the Rams offense ranks second in the league in YPG (417) behind the Chicago Bears. However, they have only managed to average just 21.3 PPG. Defensively, the Rams rank second in YPG allowed (247.5) and they have held their opponents to just 20.8 PPG.
The Rams will take care of business here if they can execute in the red zone. Averaging over 400 YPG will result in more points eventually. They need to avoid stalling, and finish drives with touchdowns. Defensively, the Rams need to contain Cook and force the Bills offense to be more one-dimensional. The Rams pass rush has the potential to be elite, so if they can shut down the run, they have a good chance to limit Allen by getting in his face all game. The status of Jaylen Watson is one to watch here, but if the Rams can limit the explosive plays by Allen and his receivers, expect them to win this one here.
Los Angeles Rams 3 Keys to Victory
- Limit the Big Play
- Shut Down the Run Game
- Score Touchdowns, Don’t Stall

TE Colby Parkinson – Questionable
DT Aaron Donald – Questionable

Monday Night Football Buffalo Bills vs Los Angeles Rams Game Predictions
I like the Rams to defend home turf here. While it will be a close one if the Bills can find their rhythm on offense, I do think the Rams have the better team, and their defense will force a couple of key stops. Los Angeles has shown the ability to close out close games, and I expect that to be the case in this one. I do believe the Bills offense is perhaps the strongest unit the Rams have seen this season, so expect this game to be high scoring. Take the over on the game total but expect the Rams to close out the shootout and move to 3-2 on the year.
My Pick: Los Angeles Rams, -3 / Over 54.5
