Monday Night Football Picks: Arizona Cardinals vs Dallas Cowboys

I genuinely want to know how Marvin Harrison Jr. feels now about being drafted by the Arizona Cardinals franchise. This organization has a total of 0 Super Bowl wins and only 6 postseason victories over the past 42 years.
I can't lie, though. I was calling for Harrison to win the Offensive Rookie of the Year Award before the beginning of last season. I made the critical error of failing to account for how worthless quarterback Kyler Murray truly is.
We can't call him a kid anymore, even though he sometimes acts like one. Just read the playbook, man. The guy is more talented than Patrick Mahomes, and what has he done with it?
He got paid. That was about it. He's off to the worst start of his career this season statistically, and look what happened on Sunday when the team played one of my favorite backup quarterbacks of all time, the seemingly ageless Jacoby Brissett, in his place.
Against the #1 rated pass defense in the league, the Packers, Brissett threw for 279 yards on 25/36 passing. He was sacked 6 times as well. Kyler may have avoided a couple of those, but the point is that the Cardinals' offense appears to be better without Murray.
Even though they’re 2-5, they’ve been in every game they’ve played this year. Their 5 losses have come by just 13 total points.
The Dallas Cowboys, conversely, cannot say such things. Their defense is among the worst in franchise history. I'm glad Micah Parsons was able to get out of there when he did. Maybe that's me being a hater, but it is what it is. Dallas does that to people.

Arizona Cardinals (+2.5) at Dallas Cowboys (-2.5)
We could see this one climb to 3 before gametime, but I don't think it'll reach 3.5.
Point Total: 53
They opened this up above the highly key number of 51. We've since seen heavy money come in on the over. These are both strong indicators that the books and sharps think this one could go well into the 60s.
Moneyline Odds
Cardinals: +127
Cowboys: -154
Arizona Cardinals at Dallas Cowboys Betting Analysis
We talked about what Murray doesn't do —like reading his playbook —but we didn't talk about what he does manage to do from time to time. That is to get right for a game to keep his job. Brissett lit the fire last week, and apparently, all Murray has to do to keep his job is have a good game against a bad defense.
You know the owner is on his side. I guess there aren't many football stars in the Phoenix area besides him. What will fans do with all those jerseys they bought if he's sitting on the sidelines, or better yet, in another stadium?
Stupid owners believe that said fans, for some reason, would boycott a team as it turns into a winner. Forgive me for peering into the future. If there ever was a game that could make the difference in Murray actually getting benched, this one might be it.
Yes, it's on the road and in a challenging environment. That said, it's unfortunate for Dallas that its fans cannot put on cleats and play defense.
They're bad at stopping the run and the pass. They don't get to or intercept the quarterback.
Part of the reason Murray doesn't read the playbook is that he knows he can scramble well for 1st downs. They rank 5th on 3rd downs this year, and their defense ranks 5th as well.
I have Murray getting right this week against a porous defense. From here, we can play the over or take the Cardinals with the points. Dallas is a beast at home, though. They are 3-0. We can't ignore that, and the point totals over those three games are as follows: 77, 80, and 66.
