Take #308 Connecticut (+14) over Memphis (7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 6)
That is now a 7-3 run with my free picks as Ohio State beat the total by themselves last week against Rutgers. I have also posted four straight winning weeks with my rated plays and I am on a nearly +$6,000 football run over the last three weeks. Straight cash homey. I have gone 12-5 (71%) for +$4,140 with my 17 plays rated 5.0 or higher this season, and I am an insane 20-5 (80%) with my NFL totals this year. I will have a 7-Unit NFL Play this Sunday and I went 4-1 with my top plays last weekend, including a pair of 6-Unit college winners behind Washington State and Georgia. As for this free play, my third-biggest college football bet last week was on Central Florida. It was an easy win as part of a 40-13 UCF blowout. Part of that bet was based on how good the Knights are. But part of it is on how bad Memphis is. And I have not seen anything from this team to make me think they should be laying two touchdowns on the road. This is a team that didn't beat FCS team Southern Illinois, at home, by more than two touchdowns. They also didn't beat UL-Monroe, also at home, by more than 10 points. So I think this line is out of whack, yet over 70 percent of the public is taking the Tigers. I know Connecticut is nothing great. But they played much better than the final suggests last week at SMU, and I see genuine improvement in this team. Connecticut is on an 0-9 ATS slide dating back to last year. This is the second-most points they have been catching in that time period. That tells me the books have been way off on this team and they are overcorrecting. I think Randy Edsall's team does enough to keep this one competitive against an overrated Memphis squad. I'm taking the points. Take 'Over' 72 Memphis at Connecticut (7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 6)
I know this total is a bit high, but Friday night in Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field we should see tons of points being scored. The Memphis Tigers come into this game cashing the OVER 3 out of their last 4 games, and their defense gives up and average 36.3 ppg. The Connecticut Huskies have cashed 3-straight OVER tickets, and here is another defense that gives up points of plenty as the Huskies 'D' is giving up an average of 42.6ppg their last 3 games. Take 'Under' 44 Boise State vs. BYU (10 p.m., Friday, Oct. 6)
We gave you an easy free pick winner last week on Illinois/Nebraska Under the posted total, which was a double-digit cover, and we look to give you another easy free pick winner here. Boise State needs a big morale effort here as the team is 2-2 and 0-1 on the road, and what better way than to play fantastic on national television against a well-known team like BYU. Boise State lost by just a field goal to Washington State in overtime earlier this year and lost to a Virginia team by 19 at home - in which Virginia had massive defense and a coach who knows the Boise State Program well having been from the west coast. Boise State has a top 45 defense and just gave up 42 points at home, which has to be infuriating. So look for Boise State's defense to shape up in a big way coming off a horrible defensive performance (and a horrible loss) as they face one of the worst offenses in America in BYU. BYU has a horrendous offense, ranking outside the top 125 and outside the top 115 in both passing yards and rushing yards. Though BYU has a horrible offense, their defense is decent as they are a top 70 defense and that is what they will have to rely on behind a great home crowd as this defense should do some what well on Friday Night, which is why this total is relatively low. Take #332 Northwestern (+14.5) over Penn State (Noon, Saturday, Oct. 7)
We hit a free play winner last week with the Giants sneaking under the spread. This is a good spot for Northwestern and a good spot to fade Penn State. The Nittany Lions have an outstanding offense, but they have not proven themselves on the road thus far this season. Penn State got a win at Iowa, but it was by a measly two points, 21-19. PSU has only been on the road once, and they will struggle to pull away in this one just as they did in Iowa. Northwestern wants to try and get a win in front of their home fans as this game is sandwiched between road games at Wisconsin and Maryland. Take 'Over' 79.5 Texas Tech vs. Kansas (Noon, Saturday, Oct. 7)
Two teams that have been trending to the over will meet when the Texas Tech Red Raiders hit the road to take on the Kansas Jayhawks at Memorial Stadium in Lawrence, KS, on Saturday afternoon. The Red Raiders have posted a 4-1 record to the over in their last five games following a straight up loss and they have gone an excellent 19-8 to the over in their last 27 games played in the month of October. The Jayhawks have been an over team as well in the spot they are in here as they have gone a perfect 4-0 to the over in their last four games following a double-digit loss at home and they have that same 4-0 record to the over in their last four games following a game where they allowed 40 points or more. They have also gone over the number in four straight games versus a team with a winning record and they are 4-1 to the over in their last five Big 12 games. Throw in the fact that Kansas is also an impressive 8-3 to the over in their last 11 games following a bye week while Texas Tech is 5-2 to the over in their last seven road games and that's where we'll have our play as we expect both teams to struggle to get defensive stops in Lawrence on Saturday afternoon.

Take #381 Oregon State (+34) over USC (4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 7)
The Trojans have gone through a gauntlet of a schedule, and it finally bit them last Friday in Pullman. Now they have a get-well game against a terrible Oregon State team, but I just do not believe they will have much motivation to win this game by 40+ points. QB Sam Donald has been far from perfect this year, and most of his offensive lineman are banged up. This is not a game you rush players back for. Take #349 Michigan State (+10) over Michigan (7:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 7)
This looks like it's going to be a hard hitting, low-scoring affair between these two in-state rivals. These two teams don't like each other. This rivalry means a little more to the Michigan State Spartans, and the fact that MSU has covered the point spread in each of their last 9 head-to-head battles is evidence of that. You have to look towards the underdog in a game like this one, especially when the dog is getting double-digit points in the spread and the total is only around 41 points overall. The Wolverines struggle to score, and they have had problems covering these bigger spreads of late, going just 2-7 ATS the last 9 times they've been favored by a touchdown or more. Free NHL Hockey Prediction From Doc's Sports :
Take 'Under' 5.5 Las Vegas vs. Arizona (9 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 7)
The Vegas Golden Knights are in their inaugural season in what is the NHL's first expansion team since 2000 (Columbus and Minnesota). The Knights are building for the future, and their expansion draft made that abundantly clear. They didn't draft to win now. They did, however, select a decent collection of defensemen along with an above-average goaltender in Marc-Andre Fleury. That will allow them to stick around in many contests and maybe steal a few games they don't deserve here and there. As a result, I expect to see some low-scoring games involving Vegas. On Saturday they'll go up against a Coyotes team that also improved their defense in the off-season. The biggest coup was acquiring goaltender Antii Raanta from the New York Rangers. Raanta has been one of the elite backup goalies in recent years and deserves a shot to start. He's going to stand on his head and steal some games for Arizona as well. It's too early to get a great pulse on every team in the league, but I'm confident that both of these teams will prefer a conservative style that allows their defense to dictate the pace. Take #464 Philadelphia (-6.5) over Arizona (1 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 8)
No one was more disappointed that my NFL 411 Play lost so badly last week. But I am still very confident in this system, and there will be big winners and big losers along the way. This system is the only documented 60% system in the country over the last nine years and has produced $23,600 in profit. It will bounce back this week. I think that Philadelphia will get some revenge against the Cardinals in this one. The last time they played Arizona won 40-17 here in 2015. Arizona has won five of six meetings, and they are 6-0 ATS in the last six meetings. But I like the home team here. Arizona has not looked good this year. Their two losses were both by double-digits to Dallas and Detroit. Their two wins were both in overtime against San Francisco and Indianapolis. Arizona is going to continue to struggle against good teams. The Cardinals are 4-12 ATS against teams with a winning record and just 2-6 ATS on the road. The Raiders are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games. The home team is 6-1 ATS in the last 7 games played between these two teams, and the Ravens are just 2-7 ATS in their last 9 road games overall. The Raiders are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games after putting up less than 15 points in their previous game, and they will have a much easier task this week against this Ravens secondary. The Ravens are just 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games after a double-digit loss at home and they have allowed 35 ppg over their last two games.
