Basic Strategy Teasers: Best Week 15 NFL Betting Options
We are rolling right along in the National Football League season as it’s already Week 15. This week presents another big challenge in the handicapping world as the issue of COVID is rearing its ugly head once again, and many players have been placed on the COVID list and will likely miss their respective games. It’s imperative that you stay on top of the late-breaking news and handicap accordingly and adjust your numbers as you see fit. We’ve already seen the Browns go from -3-point favorites to +1-point underdogs against the Las Vegas Raiders due to COVID issues.
As far as last week’s results go, we easily cashed our ticket as both Denver and Los Angeles won outright against the Lions and Cardinals, respectively. We also gave you the Seahawks, who covered as adjusted -1.5-point favorites and the Ravens and Falcons who covered as +8.5 adjusted underdogs. Let’s have a great week in Week 15 and cash another ticket.

Best Six-Point Teaser for Week 15.
Cincinnati Bengals +8.5 + Pittsburgh Steelers +7.5 (-120)
Risk: $120 to win $100
Let’s take a second to explain these Basic Strategy Teasers to those of you who are new around here. The Cincinnati Bengals are 2.5-point underdogs against the Denver Broncos. By using a six-point teaser, you will push that spread up through the key numbers of three, four and seven and get them as an 8.5-point underdogs. As for the Steelers, they are 1.5-point home underdogs against the Titans, and teasing them up using our six-point teaser method will take you through the key numbers of three, four and seven, and they would then become a +7.5-point underdog.
We are going with an all-AFC North teaser, and the first part of this teaser will rely on the Pittsburgh Steelers at home against the Tennessee Titans. Look, if you do a deep dive into what Pittsburgh has done on both sides of the football, you’d likely be shocked to see that they are 6-6-1 on the season. The offensive is brutal. They are ranked in the high 20s in most offensive categories, except for passing, and the defense has been brutal. They rank 27th in total yards and 30th in rushing yards allowed per contest. The eye test also tells you that there are major problems with this team; yet here they are, at .500 and still within touching distance of a wild card spot (although a lot would need to go right for them to get in). The Steelers were embarrassed on Thursday night against the Vikings, and coach Tomlin is pissed off and is calling out players left, right and center. Tomlin, for all the criticism he takes, has been a good motivator and has been good at getting his team to bounce back following embarrassing performances. The Steelers are typically tough to beat at home in general. And if we can get them at over a touchdown, we have to take it. The Titans are 9-4 on the season and are off a 20-0 win vs Jacksonville. They are in control of the AFC South. And with a Sunday night game against the Niners on deck, they might be caught looking ahead.
The second leg of this AFC North teaser will rely on the Cincinnati Bengals to not get blown out on their travels to the Mile-High City. The Bengals lost a very winnable game at home last week to the 49ers and now must travel across the country to tangle with the Denver Broncos. The Broncos are coming off a win against the Lions, which puts them right in the wild card spot as they are 7-6 on the season – same with Cincinnati. With just a few games left to play, this could possibly be an elimination game. And if that’s the case, I’ll side with who I believe has the better roster and more efficient quarterback play, and that’s the Bengals. I believe the wrong team is favored in this contest, but it’s not surprising given the fact that you must respect the homefield advantage aspect. Even if the Bengals lose, I don’t see them getting blown out of the water.
Alternative Options
New England Patriots +8.5 over Indianapolis Colts: I really do like the Colts to win this game, but I don’t think the Patriots are going to just roll over and let the Colts walk all over them. The Pats are the hottest team in the league right now, and getting them at over a touchdown on the spread seems like a smart move to me.
