2025 Arizona Cardinals Season Win Total Picks

The third year has been the charm for Arizona Cardinals head coaches.
Ken Whisenhunt increased Arizona’s win total each of his first three years, including a high-water mark of 10 wins in his third attempt. Bruce Arians did the same thing, increasing Arizona’s win total each of his first two years and then hitting a high of 13 wins in his third frame.
Even failure Kliff Kingsbury kept to the script, increasing Arizona’s win total each of his first three seasons, including a 11-win campaign in Year 3 at the helm.
It is now Jonathan Gannon’s third year leading the Cardinals. Gannon matched Kingsbury’s four wins in 2021 in his first year. He increased his win total to eight last season.
So now is Arizona poised for another Year 3 breakout?

ARIZONA CARDINALS 2025 OFFENSE
This season may be a defining moment in Kyler Murray’s disappointing career. The malcontent little sprite has been a starting quarterback in the NFL for six years. He’s posted a winning record exactly once. Murray is 36-45-1 with one playoff appearance in his career and is 14-22 with three straight losing seasons since the start of 2022.
It’s time for Murray to prove that he is not a loser.
Some guys that are definitely not losers: running back James Conner, tight end Trey McBride, and wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.
Much like Caleb Williams in Chicago, Harrison was unfairly considered a “disappointment” in his rookie season. Harrison managed 62 catches for 885 yards and eight touchdowns. Those are solid numbers for anyone, but especially for a first-year player. Don’t be surprised if he surpasses all of them this fall.
Arizona was No. 11 in total offense and No. 7 in rushing. Connor and Murray combined for over 1,600 rushing yards and helped establish the Cardinals as the No. 8 most efficient third down offense in the league.
The Cards have a very good starting five across the offensive line. But they lack depth. And they desperately need a third option – beyond Harrison and McBride – to emerge in the passing game.

ARIZONA CARDINALS 2025 SEASON PICKS AND PREDICTIONS
The Cardinals have underachieved, relative to their Pythagorean win expectation, by a full game in each of Gannon’s two years at the helm. Is that on Gannon? Is it on Murray? Is it a statistical fluke due for a correction?
We will find out. But it is tough to trust a Cardinals franchise that is just 3-6 against their Las Vegas season win total over the last nine seasons.
One reason why I do find it a little easier to buy in to Arizona this season is a significantly weaker schedule. Crossing over against the NFC and AFC South divisions – the two weakest in the league – is a major coup for the Cards.
Arizona only has one back-to-back road trip and it comes after a bye week. They also only have one short week disadvantage and despite several trips east, the Cardinals only have four 10 a.m. PST kickoffs.
I think that Gannon can follow his predecessors and manufacture that third-year bump. It is a now-or-never moment for Murray and this franchise. And while I am skeptical of Murray as a leader and overall player, I think there is enough around him that even he can’t screw up what should be a season where the Cards threaten 10 wins and a return trip to the playoffs.
