2025 New York Jets Season Win Total Picks

I hate to do it. But I have to admit it.
I was a sucker.
I bought in to the belief that the Jets could stop being total-super-mega-hyper losers for like 15 minutes and be a competent NFL contestant.
I bought into the belief that Aaron Rodgers wasn’t a washed-up toxic weirdo has-been underachiever and that he could provide baseline competence for a team that seemed to be a mediocre quarterback play away from being mediocre.
And, yup, I lost serious money on the Jets going way, way, way, way, way ‘under’ their Vegas season win total in 2024, as these green clowns won just five games against a 9.5 season win total.
I don’t hold a grudge.***
Instead, I am choosing to look at the 2025 Jets with fresh eyes. Could they actually be an undervalued asset, with all my fellow 2024 suckers walking sideways from this team?
Or is this just the Same Old Jets, the team that hasn’t made the playoffs in 14 years and has failed against their Vegas season win total in five of the last six seasons and 9 of the last 14?
***Well, that’s not even remotely true. I have Ferringo blood coursing through my veins. And anyone that knows me or my family knows that I thrive on spite, hatred and revenge.
NEW YORK JETS 2025 OFFENSE
Aaron Rodgers was a huge loser last year. It was his offense. The team rebuilt the offensive line after the horrific opener in 2023. The team kept his hand-picked offensive coordinator – Nate Hackett – despite all evidence that this guy has absolutely no idea what he’s doing. The team traded for Rodgers’ best-buddy receiver, Devonte Adams, one year after signing a bunch of Rodgers’ best-buddy receivers.
And the Jets threw the ball 607 times (think about that) last year. They put the ball in Rodgers’ hands and hoped that he could match Mark Sanchez and guide this chuckle factory back to the playoffs.
The results?
The Jets were No. 24 in total yards, No. 16 in passing, No. 31 in rushing and No. 25 in total offense. Rodgers couldn’t do it. He couldn’t match Sanchez.
What does that have to do with the 2025 Jets offense?
Nothing.
But I just want to make sure that everyone knows that the failure of the 2024 Jets was solely on the shoulders of Loser Rodgers.
So, will the Jets be better this year?
Nope.
Because they have Justin Fields as their quarterback. (At least, they have Fields assuming that his preseason toe injury isn’t too serious.) They also have the same crop of skill players. And as much as we like Garrett Wilson and the running back duo, these guys couldn’t do anything with Rodgers under center so there’s no reason to expect Fields to somehow elevate the group.
Unless Tanner Engstrand is a wizard – I’m talking Gandalf in his prime – the Jets offense should once again be one of the weakest in football.

NEW YORK JETS 2025 DEFENSE
New York’s offense was No. 29 in time of possession in 2022, No. 25 in 2023, and No. 27 in 2024.
Keep that in mind when I point out that the Jets have finished No. 4, No. 3 and No. 3 in total defense each of the last three seasons.
Just imagine what this team could do with even an O.K. offense playing a basic version of complimentary football.
This year’s Jets defense will be solid. They won’t be as good as they have been the last three seasons, though. New head coach Aaron Glenn was a defensive star in New York. He is a veteran defensive coordinator. He is just flat-out a defensive guy.
But he’s not Robert Saleh. The Jets fell apart on defense after Saleh was fired and their defensive coordinator was elevated to interim head coach.
The loss of veterans Javon Kinlaw, C.J. Mosely, and Chuck Clark will also ripple through this stop unit. The Jets will have four new starters and 10 new bodies on the two-deep. It’s not the same group we’ve seen toiling in vain the last three years.
The Jets still have hitters on this side of the ball. And I don’t think they are going to fall apart under new D.C. Steve Wilks. But I’m willing to bet this isn’t a Top 10 group for a fourth straight year and that’s going to be one of multiple reasons the Jets stay in the AFC basement.

NEW YORK JETS 2025 SEASON PICKS AND PREDICTIONS
The Jets went 0-7 in close games last year.
Whose fault was it? Rodgers? Saleh? The Football Gods?
It doesn’t matter. The Jets are losers. Always have been, always will be.
Their season win total is 6.5 this year. And even though there are a lot of numbers pointing toward a rebound from this group – close game record, turnover mark, Pythagorean wins, defensive yards per point, schedule differential – there is no chance I would trust the Jets to break through and become a factor in the AFC East.
They have an unproven head coach, a proven dud at quarterback, and a proven track record of failure. There is no reason not to take the ‘under’.
Robert Ferringo has posted seven of 10 winning football seasons, including last year thanks to an astounding +10,830 three-month run. Robert banked nearly +40,000 in profit between 2010-2019 for a 10-year average profit of nearly +4,000. He has earned 11 of 16 overall winning years and 69 of 114 winning months while also going 23-9 with his football futures rated 5.0+ and earning 16 of 19 winning Super Bowls.
