NFL Office Pool Picks Week 3 - ATS Predictions for Every Game!
One of the most impressive feats you can accomplish is winning your NFL office pool. Finishing atop your office pool standings requires consistency, and it will truly separate the contenders from the pretenders. Throughout the season, we will be breaking down every single NFL matchup and providing our against the spread picks along with it. Last week in the NFL, favorites went an abysmal 7-9 straight up and 4-12 against the spread. The standings are beginning to take shape, and here are your week 3 office pool picks.
Doc’s Sports offers NFL expert picks for every game on our NFL predictions page.
Week 3 Picks Against the Spread
New England Patriots (+6.5) Over New York Jets
The Patriots have punched above their weight class so far this season, and they will be able to continue that trend with a cover against the Jets. New York needed Titans turnovers in order to avoid an 0-2 hole. And while they are good enough to pick up the win on the road, a 7+ point victory is too much to ask. Jets 20, Patriots 17
Indianapolis Colts (-2) Over Chicago Bears
The Bears are still searching for their first Caleb Williams touchdown, and they may just have to wait another week. The Colts passing defense is solid, and Anthony Richardson will be eager to get the first win of the season. It’s a short line, and the Colts are at home, making them the safer pick between the two. Colts 24, Bears 15
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-6.5) Over Denver Broncos
The Buccaneers are coming off a massive upset win over the Lions, and they will keep their momentum going here. Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay offense will jump out to an early lead, and the Broncos will be unable to reply. This spread should be pushing double digits. Buccaneers 27, Broncos 9
Green Bay Packers (+3) Over Tennessee Titans
Green Bay has proven they can run a competent offense without Jordan Love and should not be getting a full field goal against the Titans. Will Levis continues to underperform, as his tendency to turn the football over will bite the Titans time and time again this season. This won’t be a very fun watch, but the Packers should be able to get the win and cover. Packers 17, Titans 14
Houston Texans (-2.5) Over Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings are 2-0 on the season after Sam Darnold stepped in for injured rookie quarterback JJ McCarthy. Darnold has been playing good football, but it’s still too early to give a team like the Vikings the nod against the Texans. The Texans are legitimate Super Bowl contenders and will find a way to win on the road. Texans 27, Vikings 21
Pittsburgh Steelers (-2) Over LA Chargers
The Steelers defense cannot be ignored, as this team will once again hover around the .500 mark. Both of these teams are off to red-hot 2-0 starts, but the Steelers wins have been far more convincing. It’s going to take more than a beatdown against the Panthers for me to start buying Chargers stock. Pittsburgh has turned their home field into quite the fortress, and they will slog their way to another victory. Steelers 12, Chargers 7
Cleveland Browns (-6) Over New York Giants
The Giants offense came to life against the Commanders, but their defense still has plenty to work on. Washington scored on all 7 drives against the Giants, which is exactly what the doctor ordered for Deshaun Watson and the Browns. Cleveland is desperate to get their offense going. And once they find a little bit of traction against New York, they may choose to take their frustration out at the Giants expense. Browns 31, Giants 10
New Orleans Saints (-1.5) Over Philadelphia Eagles
The Saints offense exploded for 91 points through the first two weeks, as Derek Carr and Alvin Kamara have been able to turn back the clock. The Saints probably have too many holes to make a deep playoff run, but they will keep their hot streak going against the Eagles. Philadelphia threw their game away against the Falcons on Monday night. And on a short week, they will fall short in New Orleans this week too. Saints 28, Eagles 25
Carolina Panthers (+5.5) Over Las Vegas Raiders
This one is a bit odd, but a 5.5 point spread with the Panthers is too many points. Bryce Young has been woeful. And with Andy Dalton stepping in at quarterback, the Panthers will actually get better in the short term. The Raiders are coming off a massive win against the Ravens, and this is the perfect let-down spot for them. After the Panthers grab a first half lead, the Raiders will come back but fail to cover the spread. Raiders 21, Panthers 20
Seattle Seahawks (-5) Over Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins will have to get used to life without Tua Tagovailoa for the foreseeable future. Skylar Thompson has all the weapons he needs to succeed, but it’s still tough to see him replicate Tagovailoa’s production. The Seahawks have gotten off to a shaky start, but they will power through to a cover against the Dolphins. Seahawks 24, Dolphins 17
Baltimore Ravens (-1) Over Dallas Cowboys
This is a must-win game for the Ravens, as an 0-3 start would make a playoff berth an uphill battle. The Cowboys got decimated by the Saints last week and are no longer the home juggernauts they once were. Baltimore will be able to run the ball effectively and take the life out of the Dallas crowd. Ravens 20, Cowboys 17
Arizona Cardinals (+3) Over Detroit Lions
The Lions have been getting overvalued on the spread to start the season, and this is no exception. Arizona’s offense came to life in Week 2, and they have a strong enough defense to keep the Lions caged. We are getting a full field goal with the Cardinals, and that is too good to pass up. Cardinals 24, Lions 23
San Francisco 49ers (-7.5) Over LA Rams
The Rams have lost Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua to injury, and they are suddenly struggling for offensive options. The 49ers will get coming into this one angry after they lost to Minnesota last week, and an angry 49ers team is not something I want to step in front of. The 49ers have won by double digits in each of their last 5 wins following a defeat. 49ers 30, Rams 10
Kansas City Chiefs (-3.5) Over Atlanta Falcons
The Chiefs edged out the Bengals to stay perfect this season, and we can’t buy too much into the Falcons victory over the Eagles last week. Kirk Cousins exercised some of his primetime demons against the Eagles, but doing so against the Chiefs is a much different task. Kansas City has a trio of difficult matchups on the horizon and will easily swat aside Atlanta on Sunday night. Chiefs 24, Falcons 14
Jacksonville Jaguars (+5.5) Over Buffalo Bills
Jacksonville is in desperate need of a victory heading into Week 3. It won’t be easy to beat the Bills on the road, but they have the talent to do so. Trevor Lawrence will have time in the pocket to pick his passes, in what will be a back-and-forth shootout. Josh Allen will put the team on his back, but it won’t be enough after some Jacksonville heroics. Jaguars 37, Bills 31
Washington Commanders (+8) Over Cincinnati Bengals
The Commanders scored on all 7 drives last week and will find similar offensive success against the Bengals. Cincinnati will feel hard done by after their loss to the Chiefs and will not let the Commanders pull off the upset. However, Washington has a solid enough offense to keep the cover alive in the fourth quarter, as Jayden Daniels will not slow down regardless of the scoreline. Bengals 27, Commanders 20
2024 Season record: 13-16-3
