NFL Office Pool Picks Week 1 - ATS Predictions for Every Game!

There are few better feelings in NFL betting than winning a season-long office pool. It will not be one lucky play or bad bounce that makes or breaks your season, as a sample size of 272 regular-season games is more than enough for the best player to come out on top. Doc’s Sports will be providing free against-the-spread picks for every game, all season long, with the hopes of helping you come out on top. We have gone 273-266-7 across the last two seasons, but I will be hoping to do even better in 2026. After months of combing over the rosters this offseason, Week 1 is finally here. Let’s dive in.
Doc’s Sports offers NFL expert picks for every game on our NFL predictions page.
Seattle Seahawks (-3.5) Over New England Patriots
We are getting a Super Bowl rematch on Wednesday night to kick off the NFL season, and we will be siding with the reigning champions against the spread. Seattle kept much of their core intact over the offseason, filling in the gaps where they needed. The Seahawks’ defense will be one of the best in the league this year, and a very loud home crowd will impact Drake Maye. I am not convinced New England has done enough to stay among the elites this year, and they go on to drop the season opener by a touchdown. Seahawks 27, Patriots 20
San Francisco 49ers (+3.5) Over Los Angeles Rams
The Los Angeles Rams enter the 2026 campaign as Super Bowl favorites, but it is far too early to crown a champion. The 49ers got bit by the injury bug last season and still aren’t 100% healthy, but they have proven time and time again that they will hang around in the regular season. Matthew Stafford played like an MVP last season and won the award, yet it still wasn’t enough to bring a Super Bowl to Los Angeles. When the 49ers get after him early and often, Los Angeles will find themselves trailing in the fourth. Maybe they go on to win, maybe they fall short. Either way, we will take the 49ers at this price in this special Australian showdown. 49ers 30, Rams 27
Atlanta Falcons (+3.5) Over Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers have strung together more than two decades of non-losing seasons under Mike Tomlin, but that wasn’t enough for him to keep his job. Pittsburgh now enters a new era in 2026, and this is a very generous line for them against Atlanta. The Falcons have problems of their own, but the reality is that a 42-year-old Aaron Rodgers cannot be trusted. Unless the Falcons shoot themselves in the foot, which they have done before, this feels like a game where they cover, but could even win outright. We’ll give the edge to Pittsburgh at home by the finest of margins, but take Atlanta to cover. Steelers 21, Falcons 20
Indianapolis Colts (+3.5) Over Baltimore Ravens
What version of Daniel Jones will we see? How will the Ravens play without John Harbaugh on the sidelines? Will one, neither, or both of these teams go to the playoffs? There are more questions than answers in this matchup, which has me looking at the points available on the spread. Baltimore will be a popular home favorite, but they fell short last year, and a coaching change is unlikely to bring immediate success. Meanwhile, Indianapolis started 8-2 with a healthy Jones last year before the wheels fell off, and I expect them to start hot again in 2026. Take the points, but the Colts win outright. Colts 20, Ravens 13
Houston Texans (+1.5) Over Buffalo Bills
The Texans looked abysmal on offense in the playoffs, which has clouded the public’s judgment about this team. Houston is a truly terrifying force on defense, and even mediocre play from C.J. Stroud on offense will let them win at home. Buffalo hasn’t made the meaningful changes they needed to in the offseason, heavily relying on Josh Allen’s heroics to find success. There is always the chance Allen turns up in a big way, but more often than not, Houston wins and covers at home. Texans 25, Bills 20
Carolina Panthers (+2.5) Over Chicago Bears
The Bears needed several fourth-quarter comebacks last year to storm to the top of the NFC North, but that will not be happening again this season. Their luck with turnovers is also due for regression, making this the perfect ‘sell high’ spot for Chicago. The Bears are a solid team who will challenge for a playoff spot, but being a road favorite role against Carolina is hard to justify. The Panthers fought their way to the playoffs last year as well, and an improved roster on both sides of the ball has them poised to emerge from their rebuild. Upset alert here. Panthers 20, Bears 16
Jacksonville Jaguars (-7.5) Over Cleveland Browns
The Browns are going to be a disaster this year with a carousel at quarterback and a suddenly vulnerable defense. Meanwhile, Jacksonville was one win away from the top seed in the AFC last season, and the front office has surrounded Trevor Lawrence with even more talent. This is certainly a thick spread, but if it weren’t Week 1, it would probably be double digits. Jaguars 35, Browns 10
Detroit Lions (-6.5) Over New Orleans Saints
There is a lot of buzz around the Saints this year, but I am not buying it until I see it. New Orleans has tons of question marks on offense; their defense lost key pieces like Demario Davis in the offseason, and they are taking on a legitimate Super Bowl threat. The Lions have put up 33.9 PPG at home over the last two years, and will likely reach 40+ against the Saints. I don’t see New Orleans keeping up with this motivated Lions offense, as this one turns into a blowout. Lions 42, Saints 20
New York Jets (+2.5) Over Tennessee Titans
Both of these teams will be better than last year, but I have more optimism in the Jets than I do the Titans. Gross. Geno Smith is far past his prime, but he could still be better than Cam Ward at the moment, and the Jets have a serious advantage on defense. New York poached several franchise cornerstones from around the league to create a daunting front seven and a coherent secondary. They got unlucky last year with an NFL-first interceptionless season, and they will get one here to seal the game against the Titans. This one won’t be a barnburner by any stretch of the imagination, but the Jets pull it out. Jets 14, Titans 10
Cincinnati Bengals (-3.5) Over Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Joe Burrow looks like a motivated man this year, and I expect a one-sided affair to open up the season. The Bengals finally have a mediocre defense to complement a very strong offense, and that is all they need to win and cover against Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers are heading straight for a rebuild with an aging roster, and they will start the season with an embarrassing defeat against the Bengals when Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase both find the end zone. Bengals 35, Buccaneers 17
Los Angeles Chargers (-10.5) Over Arizona Cardinals
This is the biggest spread of the week, but it could arguably be even wider. The Cardinals are favored to finish with the worst regular season record this year while the Chargers are challenging for a playoff spot. Justin Herbert looked solid last year despite throwing over the worst offensive line in the league, and he will look even better against a helpless Cardinals defense now that the line has improved. What is there to get excited about in Arizona? Not much. Chargers 28, Cardinals 6
Green Bay Packers (+1.5) Over Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings scooped up Kyler Murray to replace J.J. McCarthy at quarterback, but that isn’t much of an upgrade. The Vikings defense will remain solid, but they lost key pieces in the offseason and shouldn’t be favored against the Packers in Week 1. Green Bay’s offense has been one of the most consistent units in the league over the last few years, and there is no reason to expect anything less with Jordan Love still at the helm. Can the Vikings keep up? I’m willing to bet not. Packers 27, Vikings 20
Las Vegas Raiders (-3.5) Over Miami Dolphins
Laying points with Kirk Cousins and the Raiders is not at the top of my bucket list, but it is hard to put into words how bad the Dolphins really are. An incredible 60.5% of their cap space is burned in dead money, as Miami could be one of the worst teams of all-time. The Raiders are looking to get competitive again now that they have Fernando Mendoza waiting in the wings, and a Week 1 win would do a lot to keep the vibes high in the locker room. This could certainly be the shortest line Miami sees all season, and one we will not hesitate to fade. Raiders 25, Dolphins 12
Washington Commanders (+4.5) Over Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles are in for a rude awakening this season, and we will happily grab the points in this NFC East showdown. The Commanders were one of the unluckiest teams in the league in terms of injuries last year, and while their training camp added more names to the list, they finally have a healthy Jayden Daniels. The Eagles' physicality in the trenches will be tough to slow down, but they lack the offensive pop now that A.J. Brown has departed. This has all the makings of a close game, which makes taking the points the way to go. Eagles 24, Commanders 21
New York Giants (+2.5) Over Dallas Cowboys
The Giants were starting to pick up steam with Jaxson Dart, Malik Nabers, and Cam Skattebo last year before all three got hurt. Their offensive trio is back, New York’s defense is improved, and they shouldn’t be home underdogs in a divisional matchup against Dallas. The Cowboys defense has the potential to be one of the worst units in the league, and I never have to be convinced to take the points with the home team in a divisional matchup. Giants 30, Cowboys 27
Denver Broncos (+2.5) Over Kansas City Chiefs
Patrick Mahomes is expected to be ready for this matchup, but that doesn’t make the Chiefs an automatic tail. Kansas City’s defense completely fell apart last year, their pass-catchers left plenty to be desired, and even with the incoming Kenneth Walker III, Mahomes may not have enough weapons. Meanwhile, the Broncos were incredibly close to making the Super Bowl last year, and have one of the best defensive units in the league. It’s not my most confident pick of the week, but I will side with Denver if forced to pick. Broncos 23, Chiefs 21
2026 Record: 0-0-0
