Monday Night Football Predictions: Tennessee Titans vs Miami Dolphins
One of the two Monday Night Football games on the slate for the NFL’s 14th week of the regular season is a mismatch. Unfortunately, the betting odds reflect this. That’s okay, though. We can track this game from several angles.
The Tennessee Titans may not be tanking for a spot to draft a quarterback, but they aren't fighting for a playoff spot, either. I know Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel is not the type of guy to allow his team to roll over.
At this point in the year, though, for a team like the Titans, those motivational speeches and responding well and as a unit to those speeches is an increasingly difficult task.
Five games are remaining this year, and believe it or not, according to NFL.com, even the 2-10 New England Patriots aren't even eliminated yet from postseason contention. So, the Tennessee Titans still have a chance…
Fat chance…Why do they call it a fat chance, anyway? Then people go and say that your chances are slim to none. I'm just happy I learned this strange language as a child. The Titans have less than a 1% probability of making the postseason.
The Miami Dolphins, conversely, have more than a 99% chance to make the playoffs. That is a big reason why this betting line moved as fast as it did. Las Vegas opened this one up at 11.5, and we are at 13.
I don't think it will get to 13.5, but I also don't see anyone betting on the Titans, at this point. The Miami Dolphins defense isn't the same unit we got accustomed to seeing in the first half of the year.
Over the last three games played, this defense is #1 in the NFL, allowing only 4.2 yards not per carry but per play! Wow, outstanding work from NFL veteran defensive coordinator Vic Fangio.
What about their offense over the last three games? They are second in the NFL in yards per play only to the highly dominant San Francisco 49ers.
Let’s see what we can do with this Monday Night Football game between the Tennessee Titans and the Miami Dolphins.

Titans vs Dolphins Betting Odds
Tennessee: +13
Miami: -13
Wow, 13 points? As well as the Miami Dolphins are playing, you aren’t going to find a professional bettor or handicapper who will tell you to bet double-digit favorites in the NFL. There is simply too much parity in the league to be doing that.
If you want to be confident in a point differential of two touchdowns, then you need to project this contest to be a three-score ball game or more heading into the final 10 minutes. The Dolphins are likely going to be smacking them around at that point, but I can see the strong-armed Will Levis making some powerful intermediate throws as they march down the field for their junk score.

Titans vs Dolphins Betting Analysis
The Titans have mostly been a run-the-ball-to-pass-it team throughout the season, and this can be said about their style over the past 5-10 years.
Their star running back, Derrick Henry, is going to the Hall of Fame, but he has lost a step. Fortunately for him and his team, players of his caliber can lose a step and still be effective for seasons to come.
He ran for over 100 yards last week in a close overtime loss to the Indianapolis Colts. I don't care if Henry runs for 150 on just 18 carries. The Titans aren't going to be able to keep pace with the Miami passing attack.
Titans vs Dolphins Betting Predictions
Tennessee is one of, if not the, worst team in the league in pass defense, and the Dolphins are the best in that category by far.
We are going over the point total in this one. The Miami Dolphins might score 46 points themselves.
Pick: Over 46 (-110)
