2025 Tennessee Titans Season Win Total Picks
by Robert Ferringo - 8/6/2025
Each of the last two seasons have seen a rookie quarterback take the league by storm, lead their teams to surprising playoff appearances, and stamp their claim as the NFL’s Next Big Thing. First it was C.J. Stroud and Houston in 2023. Then it was Jayden Daniels in 2024.
2025 New Orleans Saints Season Win Total Picks
by Robert Ferringo - 8/6/2025
No team in the league has been a bigger underachiever over the last three years than the New Orleans Saints. Last year the Saints opened 2-0, outscoring the Panthers and Cowboys by a combined 91-29, before a crippling swarm of injuries gutted their roster and led to a 3-12 close to the campaign.
2025 Carolina Panthers Season Win Total Picks
by Robert Ferringo - 8/6/2025
Last season Carolina went 5-12. It was their seventh straight losing season and the fifth time in six years that they won five or fewer games. This is not a serious organization. Yet, all anyone wants to talk about with Carolina is the “progress” that they showed at the end of last year. The buzz around the league heading into 2025 is that somehow that “momentum” the Panthers built late last season will carry over into this fall.
2025 Cleveland Browns Season Win Total Picks
by Robert Ferringo - 8/6/2025
Someone must be The Worst Team In The NFL. For 2025 it might as well be the Cleveland Browns. It’s certainly a position they are used to. Cleveland has finished with a losing record in 15 of the last 17 NFL seasons. They went 3-14 last season and they enter 2025 with more questions than answers at several key positions, including quarterback.
4 Reasons to Bet on NFL Preseason Football
by Robert Ferringo - 8/6/2025
I know, I know. “Only real degenerates bet on the NFL preseason.” Well, are you still considered a degenerate gambler if you’ve turned a profit on the NFL preseason 12 of the last 16 years like I have? Or maybe if you’ve burned the books for August profit for eight straight preseasons like Strike Point Sports has?
2025 Big Ten Tournament Predictions and Betting Odds
by Robert Ferringo - 3/12/2025
It’s March. Which means it is time for the Big Ten’s annual NCAA Tournament humiliation. However, before we get to that, the conference should be able to give us one of the most entertaining and unpredictable conference tournaments of Championship Week.
2025 SEC Tournament Predictions and Betting Odds
by Robert Ferringo - 3/11/2025
The SEC has designs on sending as many as 12 teams to the NCAA Tournament this year. The league is clearly the beneficiary of conference expansion as well as down seasons from the normally dominant ACC and Big Ten. That still doesn’t change the fact that the SEC is loaded with top coaches, star freshmen, and future NBA All-Stars.
2025 Big East Tournament Predictions and Betting Odds
by Robert Ferringo - 3/11/2025
I am 100 percent biased, thanks to my formative years spent watching my favorite team (and eventual alma mater) Syracuse do battle with the beasts of the east in The Mecca of Basketball. The Big East Tournament is four days of rabid energy, bruising physicality, and relentless intensity, featuring some of the best basketball in the country played amidst the highest of stakes.
2025 Big 12 Tournament Predictions and Betting Odds
by Robert Ferringo - 3/10/2025
Kansas who? Houston has bullied its way to the top of the Big 12 food chain with back-to-back regular season titles. But if the Cougars are going to truly usurp the Jayhawks as the Big 12’s new standard bearer, they will have to accomplish what Kansas did seemingly every year: win the Big 12 conference tournament.
2025 ACC Tournament Predictions and Betting Odds
by Robert Ferringo - 3/10/2025
If you thought ACC football sucked in the fall, ACC basketball said, “Hold my beer” this winter. The ACC was awful this hoops season. The bloated 18-team conference, historically the best basketball league in the country, was a disaster from the start of nonconference play. Eleven of the 18 teams are currently rated outside of the Top 85. And as it currently stands, only three teams – Duke, Clemson, and Louisville – are locks to make the NCAA Tournament.
2025 AAC Tournament Predictions and Betting Odds
by Robert Ferringo - 3/10/2025
I’ll forgive you if you don’t pay attention to American Athletic Conference basketball tournament. Heck, I bet half the people involved in AAC hoops don’t even care that much about AAC hoops. Such is life as a mid-major conference that has seen teams like Connecticut, Louisville, Cincinnati, SMU and Houston come and go through its 12-year history.
How to Bet Spring Training Baseball: Don’t Do It
by Robert Ferringo - 3/4/2025
When I tell people that NFL Preseason betting can be a great source of early season value, they usually look at me with an expression that is a mix of shock and horror. I can actually see the thought bubble with the word, “DEGENERATE” forming above their heads.
How to Bet Super Bowl Props
by Robert Ferringo - 2/6/2025
I don’t know that anyone can say with much certainty who is going to win Super Bowl LIX. But whoever wins, it will be historic. Philadelphia will take on Kansas City at 6:30 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 9 at Super Bowl LIX at the Superdome in New Orleans. The Chiefs are currently a tenuous 1.5-point favorite and the total for this game is set at 48.5.
NFL Power Rankings Week 18
by Robert Ferringo - 12/31/2024
Welp, another regular season in the books. Week 18 is here to wrap up another wild, wacky NFL regular season. While we still have over a month of playoff action to savor, this is the last full card of the season. And as such, I am going to advise you all the same way I do every year heading into the final week of the season. Tread lightly.
NFL Power Rankings Week 17
by Robert Ferringo - 12/24/2024
It’s a big holiday week (mazel tov to those celebrating Hanukkah and “cool” to those celebrating Kwanzaa) so that means time is short. So rather than wasting your time with one of my witty, yet informative, introductions focusing on a trend, trait or zeitgeist of the NFL at the moment, I will let you get to the rankings.
NFL Power Rankings Week 16
by Robert Ferringo - 12/17/2024
NFL underdogs have covered the number in barely over 47 percent of all NFL games this season. And if you take out the league’s most dominant dog, the Pittsburgh Steelers, then NFL underdogs are beating the number in only 46.7 percent of all games this season. If the season were to end today, then that would be the worst showing for underdog in pro football this decade.
NFL Power Rankings Week 15
by Robert Ferringo - 12/10/2024
Scarcity equals value. The rarer something is, the more valuable it is. That’s one of the real powers (but not the only one) of the NFL and one of the reasons for its gargantuan popularity. Because there are fewer games than any of the other sports, every play, every quarter and every game receive enormous scrutiny and outsized analysis.
NFL Power Rankings Week 14
by Robert Ferringo - 12/3/2024
Mama told me there would be weeks like this. Just because I am a professional doesn’t mean that I am immune to the grotesque and indiscriminate whims of the Gambling Gods. And I have to say, last weekend was a doozy. I’ve had worse weekends. I’ve lost more money. But this one took a particular bite for some reason.
NFL Power Rankings Week 13
by Robert Ferringo - 11/26/2024
It’s Thanksgiving Week, which is the busiest gambling week of the season. As such, I’m going to keep this short and sweet. Also, this week we will be releasing our football picks at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27, to accommodate the Thanksgiving holiday. Happy Thanksgiving to each of you and your loved ones and good luck this week!
NFL Power Rankings Week 12
by Robert Ferringo - 11/19/2024
It is time to pay homage to Mike Tomlin. I’m not going to deep dive into his coaching achievements and his career. I’m not going to stage the debate of whether or not he’s a “great” coach or why if he’s so great he hasn’t won more Super Bowls. I don’t really care about any of that. What I do care about, and what deserves to be recognized, is that Tomlin may be the greatest underdog coach in NFL history.
