The preseason is the time when NFL players and teams try to get tuned up for a long, grueling season. The season is obviously far less physical for sports bettors, but it can be just as grueling - especially if you aren't prepared for it. The 1984 Orange Bowl still sticks out in my memory as one of the greatest games I've ever seen. As a 13 year-old kid I watched intently as No. 4 Miami, an overwhelming underdog, stormed out to a big lead over the juggernaut Nebraska Cornhuskers. After trailing 31-17 midway through the fourth quarter, the Cornhuskers rallied with two touchdowns to pull within one, 31-30.
